Deck Builder Import
I've developed a deck builder importer component with scripts that can import from jigoku, cardgamedb, octgn, and fiveringsdb into this mod. Pop me a message if you guys are interested in including it in yours.

Sounds awesome. Deckbuilding is currently the most lackluster part of the mod. Color me interested.

alright. it's finalized now, and tested for IE, Firefox, and Chrome imports sent you a friend request, there are a couple of cruxes.

If it's alright with you, I'd like to add your deckbuilder to the main mod with credits. I'm currently overhauling my source images with high dpi scans. Is it possible for you to use the same images within your deckbuilder if I send you the files once I have them all done?

sorry for the delay, not being notified by this thread for some reason.

my mod is auto-generated by a script that mines fiveringsdb and puts together the deck template images and uses the data gathered to create datastructures for the lua scripts. it would be a bit difficult to adjust to using whole image templates.

the images the script obtains are all usually watermarked - same as used by FRDB - which i figured would be a good respect to pay FFG (not sure if they have expressed any concern in aiding spread of high dpi images, but i recall older cards would eventually be released w/o watermarks for LOTR and AGOT)?

also, my mod will be updated as soon as there are significant variations in FRDB data, so we might get out of sync quickly, and it might become annoying to maintain.

HOWEVER, if you sent me the individual scans named according to the FRDB id field in their api (a-fate-worse-than-death.jpg for example: http://lcg-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/l5r/L5C06_98.jpg) either png or jpg is fine, the script can use "override" images for the ones supplied through FRDB.

also, yes you're more than welcome to include the deck builder into your mod!!

That basically solves my issue in the first place. If the images are from an online source then they are easier to update and remain consistent. I'll definitely include your deckbuilder in the next mod update that finishes the cycle.

i'm planning to release a v.2.0 of the deck builder soonish, which will include an actual deck builder too, along the lines of cardgamedb / fiveringsdb. that's more for fun though, as those websites are way easier to use for that purpose. also, it sounds like TTS will add ajax capabilities in their api soon, so then it will be even easier to import decks.
