Did you completely uninstall the mod and removed all files, rather than rely on Steam's uninstallation? It sounds like its a corrupted mod download. Unsure why but Steam seems to be handling mod updates poorly on servers lately, there's a lot of reports on similar over at AC2

I completely uninstalled the mod, deleted all files from the Steam directory and also deleted and reinstalled everything at gportal. It still does not work.
"Pyria: The Second Chapter" still works fine.

Yeah trying to install this on my cluster I get an error message half way thru, says its missing files. After retrying it finally goes thru but causes server to crash every time it starts up. I am just guessing but i think the download file is messed up or steam isn't downloading it correctly but acts like it does. Idk just a guess.

I have now deleted the entire server at gportal and created a new one. With that, everything should be clean. Still, "Pyria: Mythos Evolved" does NOT work. I have now tinkered enough and no longer feel like the mod. I think it's a shame that the authors of this mod are not even able to give a comment or help.

What worked for me is if you get an error message do not press retry cause it will continue where it messed up and still be messed up even tho it says its ok. Instead start download over completely and repeat until you do not get an error message. Thats just what worked for me and I set it up on a 4 map cluster.

The mod is massive and steam as such does not always grab all the files. you may need to reinstall the mod manually using a program like WinSCP to grab the working files from your own computer and use them to update the server. This is no mod issue, but rather an issue on steam's part.
