Thanks for trying to help, but that didn't answer my question. I wasn't asking where it is. I'm asking is how you use it.
Place a prop (larger props like plastic_panel8x8 don't seem to work). Left-click with the tool in hand to turn the prop into a trigger, which instantly makes it non-collidable.
Press the "toggle solid" key (Numpad 0 by default) to toggle the trigger being visible. AFAIK the trigger can't be activated while it's visible.
You assign keys to Output 1 and (optionally) Output 2. These will be the keys simulated when you activate the trigger, in the same way buttons simulate key presses.
The "trigger on" checkboxes tell you what will trigger it. Pretty self-explanatory.
The advanced settings take 3 parameters:
- target index: The entity that will be affected. You can get this index by right-clicking with the tool selected.
- input to fire: I'm not entirely sure on this one, but it looks like you can apply effects like breaking the entity.
- parameter: I assume this provides additional control to what affect is given, but I don't know much about it.
And delay is simply the amount of time that should elapse between activating a trigger and the outputs firing.
Thanks for sharing, it helped me a little, I suppose I only needed to know what I could fill into "Input to fire" and "parameter", help with this would be great.
