Ashikaga Bakufu - A strategically challenging overhaul mod including several popular features - for shogun 2 and "Expanded Japan"

Quick Info -

Recruitable Bow generals.
Bigger Hero units.
More battle skills for Generals, Hero, Samurai and Monks.
Bigger exp level up bonuses for troops that kill Generals.
Realm divide takes x2 to happen.
Battle speeds lowered.
Minor clans get the same regular base income as major.
Early Samurai matchlock units.
Bow/Teppo/siege range increase.
Agents and Generals skills tree mod added.
All factions can recruit samurai from the start.
Legendary buildings un-capped.
Bigger garrisons.
izzi's arrow/cannon sound fix.

Main Idea/Changes -
1/ To get rid of all hidden game stat bonuses so what you see is what you get.
2/ Make it easy for the AI to build better.
3/ Make a more strategic campaign.
4/ Less boat spam.
5/ And ofc - Make Samurai Great Again.

NOTE!!!! if you use "Expanded Japan" mod then use "Ashikaga Bakufu Dynamic UInit Mod" for a better play through (Bigger map needs bigger armys :).


I've edited out or lowered all the exp/replenishment bonuses I could find to stop heavily damaged armys having full stacks 1 turn later to make battles a bit more decicive.
Samurai are the officer class so ashigaru units start weak and need to be constanly supervised/encouraged using the Samurai's abilitys/battle skills to get the best from them and to stop them fleeing but they level well eventualy.
The game requires a castle upgrade to unlock a new build slot so I made castles a bigger priority for AI. Bigger castles = more buildings = more units available to the AI.

REQUIRED ITEMS - None!!! but MODs I'm trying out and recommend (but arn't nessasary) - linked in required items on the right.
Mods that have no conflicts at all are.
1/ Ashikaga Bakufu.
2/ Expanded Japan Mod.
3/ nohoro.
4/ real armies.
5/ Ashikaga Bakufu More Yari Unit Variations
6/ Ashikaga Bakufu Naval Unit Pack
7/ UAI Revived.

Start_pos not changed so should work with most mods. (Not some extra years mods, so try and test them.)


Files/Changes If anyone is interested - Only db files are modded - using pack file manager - all OSP feel free to use or copy any of my stat changes.

kv_experience_bonuses - bonuses increased from around 200 to 1000 for the unit who captures the fort flag, kills a general etc.
kv_morale - Changes to try to make units break faster when surrounded/out numbered etc.
kv_rules - trying nutural attack factors of 0 instead of the standard +25 to attack in the rear and +8 to side attacks etc to slow down kill rate.
kv_special_ability_effects - Increased a few things like ability_range_bonus from 25 to 50.
ancillary_to_effects - mostly lowerd replenishment.
battle_cameras - Normal increased hight changes.
battle_entities - Lowerd walk/run/charge speeds in battle and changed Hero hit points from 2 to 1 like everyone else.
building_effects_junction - Had to change these for the unit exp.
building_levels - Changed resource_requirements so easier to build stuff for AI and player.
building_units_allowed - Made some units availible in castles so AI can recruit units with out navigating build trees.
campaign_variables - changed things like chance of general defection from 25% to 10% increased Realm devide from 150 to 200 points.
cdir_unit_qualities - Added a quality number to generals so AI will recruit them.
character_experience_skill_tiers - Added points to agents and generals
effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions - Added a +10 accuracy to legendary archery building and +10 reload rate to legendary siege.
general_command_star_level_effects - Removed the hidden melee/defence army bonuses from the generals.
projectile_trails - Made a slighly longer/thiner bullet trail.
projectiles - Range increases, bow dammage reduction, base reload for matchlock and bow, lower projectile speeds.
technology_effects_junction - Changed replenishment rates, unit xp gains and more effects.
trait_level_effects - just a few relating to replenishment, looting, movement points.
ui_unit_stats - Changed how much points you see on the UI - you can see armour 35 not just 15 etc.
unit_experience_threshold_modifiers - changed so all units are equal.
unit_experience_thresholds - Changed to base 500 then add 1000 for each level - 500,1500,2500,3500,4500,5500,6500,7500,8500, I may raise this if it seems to easy.
unit_movement_modifiers - Changed to fit movement changes in battle_entities.
unit_stats_land_experience_bonuses - Reload now has +4 not +2 better fatigue resistance and moral per level.
unit_stats_land - Unit sizes increased, increases in armour and for horses, generals have bows, melee_bonus_vs_cavalry lowerd, all units have bulletproof for better projectile protection, standardised att/deff for all units aprox 5, most Samurai get +1, mounted get extra +1, heros get +2 just to mix it up a bit.
unit_to_unit_abilities_junctions - Added many new abilitys to units like banzai, hold firm, second wind, warcry.
units - Added unit caps at 8 for each Samurai unit and 24 for each Ashi unit and mostly 1 for each ship type to stop spam, standardised movement modifiers all have 15, horse 20, some ship movements increased, changed unit costs/upkeep - recruitment cost up for matchlocks, upkeep lowerd for mostly all.


Thanks to Sorry~* Shot you^^ for the insperation and uanime5 for making "expanded", made me want to play STW2 again.

Instalation
Clik the subcribe up above, start shogun2, the mod manager should pop up, this mod will download from steam and appear in your list, when downloaded click/check this mod - Ashikaga_Bakufu and press start.

BUGS ---- If you find Archers that have gun sounds there is a fix called Arrow_cannon_sound_fix. (already added in this mod)

The next update may need a new game start, to avoid this go to your Shogun2 directory, normaly - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War SHOGUN 2\data
Find this mod - Ashikaga_Bakufu Rename it to something else. ie - My_copy_Ashikaga_Bakufu
