Calmer Colors Hair (WoTC Compatible)

After using a mod that randomized the look of rookies, I noticed that too many of them reminded me of deranged cartoon characters. In an effort to tone things down a bit, I made changes to the color palettes related to hair, eyes, and armor for my own games and decided to make them available for other users.


What does this mod do?

This mod makes changes to the games color choices related to your characters' hair customization. All vivid hair colors were replaced with other options. Two (subtle) dyed hair options are available (Purple and Red) along with many more natural color choices. These include two new reds, several browns, and a few hues for your older soldiers.


Compatibility:

Due to how mods are now handled when loading the game, you'll need to use the Alternative Mod Launcher to get this mod to work with WOTC.

This mod directly changes the color palette in the base game so unless you are using another hair color mod, there shouldn't be a conflict. I've been asked about having this mod work with other color mods. As far as I can tell, the only way to modify the color palettes is to replace them with a new version. It's not like other game configuration files where you can add and remove parts.

Note that since this mod changes the color palette, your current characters may be affected. I tried to keep as many of the unchanged color options in their same order but I did move some colors around to keep them grouped.

11/9/18 - Since I was making some fixes to the armor color mod, I thought I would try to include better redhead colors. Two colors have been added to the end of the list. Keep in mind that the hair models use the color choices differently so what may look good on one model may not look as good on another. That's not something I can fix.
