Basketball

Adds the Basketball court and the Basketball League and Training Reform Program.
Welcome to the slam! This mod takes care of Exercise needs and offers a real-time game!

UPDATE V2.29:
- FIXED 'No equipment' error in reform program scheduler.
- Added 'CustomArea 1' and ConcreteWall materials to all Quickbuilds. This should make the FloorType button no longer crash the script.
- FloorType button will no longer change ConcreteWall or BrickWall to ConcreteTiles when League (Basic) or Training (Basic) Quickbuilds are used.




The League offers 17 places for prisoners to exercise on a big court. The Training program offers 6 places on a half-court. Both Reform Progams can be scheduled outside of work and are managed by a Basketball Trainer who requires an office. Of course playing basketball is free.


While the needed objects to assemble a basketball court can be found in the Objects menu, it's MUCH easier to just use a League (Basic) or Training (Basic) quickbuild room. It will show you the exact size it needs. After finishing the quickbuild you can just spawn a floor with the Centre Circle buttons, which will remove the quickbuild walls.

- To start/stop a realtime game, click the Centre Circle and press GAME ON / GAME OFF. Don't let the real-time game run 24x7 since it might produce lag in your prison while perhaps you aren't watching it anyway. However, following a few matches can be quite addictive, especially when the scores get really close - who will win the match before time ends? You know what, just let it run 24x7, who cares?

- You can choose whether the ball gets killed or deleted after a match. If it gets killed, somebody will come to fetch the ball and bring it to the Basketball Locker. Sometimes there is nothing to fetch, then a big fat blood stain on the floor will be the only thing left... Make sure you have a Basketball Locker around, or else it will go by hearse. If you choose to delete the ball, it will simply vaporize after a match.

- Please don't turn on AutoLights when using the quickbuilds, nor place lights manually in the room. The court spawns/deletes court lights by itself when a game starts/ends.
- To have the court lights enabled while not having the real-time game running, simply press the CourtLights button to switch them on or off. When you enable the real-time game, the court lights will switch on/off by themselves again when a game starts or ends.

- The baskets are represented by StatusLights and the basketball fields are wired objects. Connect each side of the field to its statuslight, so you can see when a goal is made.

- You can cycle through 10 different worn fields with the Line Type button.

- Last but not least, you can quickly change the floor type with a button as well. It is advised to only use the floors provided by the button, since they are tweaked to be fast floors.


This is an updated version of the ancient Prison Basketball mod originally made by ObiWorm.


Known issues:
-if you place various quickbuild rooms and have the game speed to high, it might not spawn the basketball courts correctly. Please set the game time to normal while the court is placed.
