It is my policy to always explain why when I leave a negative rating. In this case, TOO LOUD! Also, some of the lines don't make sense. That's a particular problem when they go on quite long.

Batch normalizing everything to -6dB will make a majority of your clips the correct volume.

Hiya, thanks for the feedback. It was actually kinda tough to get sufficient quality audio to put together Buffy & Spike audio-packs.
Mostly it was a case of finding old fan websites from when the show originally aired, that had WAV files of some more interesting lines for download. Then cleaning those up and equalising the volume before creating the audio pack using the dev kit.
Overall I would say it took about 6-8 hours for this pack and around the same for the Spike one.
There might be enough audio clips out there for Angel, possibly Willow, but not the other characters, so I'd have to dig out my DVD collection and go through, capturing any interesting lines to audio, but .... I finished the game a couple of times before I got around to this and went on to play other games.

BTW, I made up most of the characters from Buffy and then realised I left out Riley Finn. You know the one of the whole lot of them that would be first in line for this type of work.

One of the firs things I did after pre-purchasing the game was ask around on FB if they wanted me to put them in the game. Just name and well I could make the squaddies look like them. Second things I did was to star making squaddies taken from my favourite shows and films. Providing they had some relative connection to this type of game. So, I made up characters taken from Buffy, Angel and then Ghostbusters, (Somebody important must have noticed, When I uploaded them along with what i thought was accurate &sometimes funny bios., because the is a hefty Ghostbusters voice pack. as well.) because some of the uniforms and faces look familiar enough. That was over a year ago now, and I only just started playing this again. So, I have to say thanks for a good start, but what is stopping you from putting in more voices from this show. I'd like to know how to make voice packs myself, but there might be some legal difficulties there. Seriously,

I agree. The voice is quite loud, compared to the default voices.

I like it, the lines are decent, but I find them rather loud and a little unfitting to the game's atmosphere as a result. I will still use it, as only one unit uses this voice set, but if an update is planned, I'd not complain. thanks for the mod!

Great idea, I give you props for that. However the clip sound quality and lines just don't work for X-Com. Fun though.

Oh absolutely! I'm just super thankful that you took the time to make it work on Mac! Most voice mods don't work for me. Pumped about this and to see more voice mods (if you have the time and the desire of course). Would love to see the full scooby gang! I'd totally make a campaign with all Buffy characters :) But if you just do this one and the Spike one then it's still super awesome! :)

Yay, glad to have positive confirmation that it works on a Mac! Thank you for taking the time to let me know. :)
