Star Wars : LAAT /i Gunship - MK III

The Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry (LAAT/i),
also known as the Low Altitude Assault Transport,
Republic attack gunship or Assault Gunship

This is a complete rework of ship, which we started with Jona "darthvader" a while ago.

* 8 x passenger seats
* 6 x rocket launcher
* 2 x plasma cannon
* 2 x pulse laser
* 1 x gatling gun (at back of the ship)

UPDATE 02.05.2016

Reworked the ship for EGS Alpha:

* remodelled the front part, looking more bulky now, matching better to the original ship.
* added more UP-thrusters to fix the entering / leaving planet problem.
* fixed coloring and texturing
* added 2 more passenger seats

UPDATE 28.02.2017

Complete rebuild and redesign with Alpha 5.x blocks.

* Important parts covered by hardened steel
* used another cockpit model
* now with proper cockpit orientation
* redesigned interior
* added shutter doors
* 2 x headlight
* reduced interior lights
* fixed weapon limits (blueprint is not orange anymore)
* rebalanced thrusters
* now with 10 passenger seats

um, it's backwards. the cockpits are put backwards on the original starter. north is south, east is west, etc.

Updated the ship for EGS Alpha.
Vertical take off, should be no problem now.

Found the same issue as Sillls with the vertical takeoff on akua. Took out 4 panels on the floor and swapped them for directional thrusters. It now lifts off vertically quite easily. :)

Ok I have looked at this again. I found that if the ship is perfectly level then the stairs work fine.

The thrusters do not do well on a vertical takeoff. In order to get altitude. You need to point up. Otherwise the craft has a lot of difficulty lifting off and appears to sometimes sink.
The planets name is Akua.

@Sillls: the stairs are working fine for me, but as for all my ships, they are only a basic version. You can always modify it for your needs. About the landing, what planet ? I had no problems on the ice planet.

Another issue that I discovered is that it is too heavy to lift off. The thrusters can hardly keep it off of the ground.

While this ship looks really cool. It does need some polishing up.
