Automatic roll for ships, perfect for flying in gravity.

The AdvancedFlyModule is a gyroscope like block with a special behavior. Its roll the ship according to his fly direction (if you turn left it roll to left and otherwise).

AFM is designed to work in natural gravity (on planets), it works also in space but is not so usefull.

The Mod add a block for small and large grid.

AFM Demo WORLD

AFM is only usable for vehicles with default fly direction forward. For example it is not usable for realistic helicopters while lift or drop. While lift or drop, every small roll lead to a sidemovement (according to the grid) and the MOD act with more rolling. The red mirror is fly direction, start your build with a landing gear to get the right direction.

How to use it:
- place the AFM on your ship
- reduce the power to 20%
- deactivate sideways thrusters and fly forward, then turn left or right while flying forward
- if is the roll effect too low, increase power


For me the flying with AFM is more fun than flying without. It is not created to be more realistic, its just for fun! Especially flying through canyons is realy nice. If you will, combine it with aerodynamic mods for more realistic flying.

Why I used that music? I was young and need the money ;-) (I dont know, was free maybe)

Hey, love this mod. Tried it out with a plane when I saw it worked with the link above, and all it does is flip it upside down. Am I placing it wrong, or...?
( I will try 2.0 to see if this resolves my issue )

I didnt have a normal gyro, so thats probably the problem. Thnx <3

1. you need at least one normal gyro
2. if the roll ist to much, decrease power of AFM
the placement of the AFM doesnt matter, just the red mirro must be like in the video
If you dont get it to work, please upload a blueprint so i can check it. Thx

So i put this on my plane, its in line with the red mirror mode and i have 2 side thrusters that are turned off. But all my plane does is fly in a straight line and rock from side to side. The higher i set the power the worse it gets (100% power = high speed barrel rolls. I was not expecting this and i was laughing for a good 10 minutes after that happened xD) anyway, how amusing it may be, any idea what might be causing it? Does the rotation of the gyro matter?

without sidethursters this check is not working. Without sidethrusters just fly forwaurd and turn slowly with mouse, teh ship will start roll. Try it in creative mode, is better to prevent you from crashing your ship.

Not working for me, i put it on my ship, turned it on and nothing happens when i press a or d or press them while holding w, there are no side thrusters on my ship, am i doing something wrong?
