Eye of Cthulhu (Terraria) [Ragdoll]

"You feel an evil presence watching you..."


In honor of the 1.3 Terraria update, I've made a poseable "Eye of Cthulhu" boss model/ragdoll.

This was previously an SFM submission, but I went ahead and ported it over to GMod. I also took the liberty of setting up collision and ragdoll for the model, so it should be easier to manipulate. The tendrils also flail about when you move the model around.

The SFM version contains more info about the changes. The major additions are a much higher quality model and texture, and a new enemy type, the "Servant of Cthulhu".

Both Eyes feature a much higher quality model and texture, as well as some optimizations to improve their performance. They now have LODs and some gameplay tweaks. The phase 1 eyeball features facial flexes, so you can tweak the pupil into different shapes using the Face Poser. I have also included a Retinazer and Spazmatism(The Twins) skins with the model, but I couldn't figure out how to switch to them(You can in the icon view, but not in the game).

The "Servant of Cthuhlu" is a miniature eye that the Eye of Cthulhu shoots at the player during the boss fight. It also functions as the "Suspicious Eye", which the player uses to summon the Eye of Cthulhu. He's fairly simple, and has some very basic ragdoll on his tendrils.

I did test the Servant using model manipulator. He works suprisingly well when pasted onto the ManHack.
