New Version:
Gen's Blocks V2 - WIP - Survival Major

Latest Update:
Obsolesced by New Version for the Survival Major Release Version

Refineries will now be organized similar to Tier'd tools:
Emergency All-in-one 1x1x2 (T1) aka Basic
1x1x2 Grouped (T2) aka Basic
2x2x4 All-in-one (T2.5) aka Basic
2x2x4 Grouped (T3) aka Advanced
2x5x7 Grouped (T4) aka Elite

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This should be considered a Hard Mode start. Adding other block mods, especially production blocks will skew the difficulty to the easy side of things.

When you add the mods please have them in the following order from the top down:
Blocks, then Components. This is a dependancy issue due to them not being in a single Mod. They don't need to be at the top of all of your mods, just in respect to each other.

There is no scripting currently in this mod, only component and block requirement changes.

Component Changes:
-Wire Spools and Plastic are a requirement on nearly every non-armor block .
-Anything that processes Ice requires CryoPump components.
-Various tweaks to component requirements across all Vanilla blocks to use my components.
- All components use new ore types to create them.
- Ammo requires various, more realistic materials to construct.

Block Differences:
Emergency production: Designed for a harder start.
Emergency Refinery -Lower cost to build, uses more power. It is much slower and is not very efficent at making ingots.
Emergency Assembler -Lower cost to build, uses more power. Only allows hand tools and components to be built that are required to stay alive. (no detectors, no gravity, no medical, no weapons, no ammo.) Components built with this assembler take a really long time because it wasn't designed to be used for full base production.

New Large Blocks:
Chemical Assembler -Produces Plastic, Ice, Explosives.
Precious Metals Smelter-1x2 -Processes Gold, Silver, Platinum, Copper(Trinium w/ Stargate Mod)
Gas Evaporator-1x2 -Converts Liquid into gas. Liquid comes from refining Ices.
Special Solids Pulverizer-1x2 -Processes non-metals like stone, silicon.(I still need to move some metals to other refinery types)
Volatile Fuel Refinery-1x2 -Processes Uranium(Also Naquadah if using my Stargate Materials). I will be changing this to just Hazardous Materials in the future. (Uranium, Mercury, Sodium, etc)
Large Versions of the above special Refineries.
Medium Hydrogen Tank-1x2 same size as the Oxygen Tank, needs to be re-textured.
Batteries return 60/120 power cells, then 60 as scrap.
Breeder Reactor creates Depleted Uranium and Plutonium from Uranium. (Weapon resource)
Hydrogen Fuel Cell - Power output between a battery and a small reactor.
Hydrogen Fusion Reactor - more power than a large reactor.
Helium3 Fusion reactor - more power than a Hydrogen Fusion reactor.
Armor blocks - Light Blocks require Girders to start then Steel plate, Heavy require Girders and Titanium Plate.
Oxygen Generator renamed to Gas Evaporator - (Orange and Green) Liquid Gas Bottles can be converted directly to gasses. Ice needs to be processed into Liquid gasses in a refinery first.

Planed future blocks:
Super Large Refineries aproximately double in size, under contract with ShaoCorp.
Larger Assemblers approximately the size of a current Vanilla refinery, under contract with ShaoCorp.

Ore/Ingot Changes:
Stone refines into mostly gravel with a little silicon and Iron and even less trace materials.
Planetary materials Grass, Sand, etc. Also refine into other compound Ingot types rather than stone in vanilla.
Different planetary materials have different yeilds.
The same materials on other planets refine into a different mix of ingots.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Some known issues are actually issues with the materials and componets mod and are listed there.
Respawn ships will spawn with Ice in the Gas Evaporator inventory, move it to the refinery to get O2/H2 production going.

Test respawn ship blueprint here: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=404496883
You'll want to spawn it into a new world in creative mode and take it over.

Or CprlRst posted a Respawn Mod of it here: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=404653987

for me either this mod or it's dependencies cause texture bugs for modded planets. im not sure if im doing something wrong but modded planets had the standard stone texture only

All of my Interior Walls are turning into Purple small Blocks and I tracked it down to this mod... why would this be?

If you have never heard of Gen's Blocks and would like more info I recently put together a fan made guide to cover the basics. Guide to Gen's Materials and Components

Do you have a donation platform? I have put an incredible amount of game time in thanks to your mods and recently have been inspired to create a mod collection to compliment your materials and components mod. I appreciate the time you have put into this content and even though you might not continue mod development for SE I would like to support you.

well.. glad to hear from you. i wish i knew more about modding. hopefully you find some time or

In addition to that drama, modding started out as being fun but has become a frustratingly long list of things I wanted to do but couldn’t find the time to dedicate to it. Since I started modding SE, I had a son, who is now 4 and takes up most of my free time. What little I have left, is split between starting up a manufacturing company and playing some new games when I want to chill. The direction I am leaning toward is to pass my mods on to another modder, although at this stage I have not yet found a replacement. Whomever it is will need to be able to dedicate the time to get the next versions working to the plan I already established. (So that I can finally enjoy them 😆).
Hopefully, I’ll have some news this weekend even if it is just a minor fix.

I’m still alive. As some may have guessed I have been under NDA with Keen in the CTG for several years. Due to how toxic the group became as a result of Keen’s management and developer communication, I have had little interest in even patching the client and have taken a hiatus to decide where to go from here.

@DeathOnAStick Still being updated as far as I know though Geneticus seems to have disappeared. Just like everyone modders have lives too so he's probably doing RL related stuff. Wouldn't be too worried that the mod might break currently the only thing borked in this mod is Interior Walls due to outdated CubeBlocks.sbc file.

updates? is this mod still being worked on? whats happening? thx
requiemfang 13. lis. 2018 v 18.35
Yep, as I reported before the interior block is bugged atm, you get a small pink textured square. It's the mod not the vanilla game, I tested this by starting a fresh world with no mods installed, interior block appears normally with no issues. put the mod in the mod list and load same world, small pink block appears in place of interior blocks
