also update I found a bug if you colide with an asteroid at 10kps it has a chance of "upping" the speed limit of ships in load range and the increased limit keeps going up. the problem is while those ships now have a klang drive that propels them further into the unknowable territory you are stil stuck at 10kps as a character so can't move other than being plastered to the rear wall of your medbay. if anyone reads this log know that clone 57 of this engineer died in reletive peace plastered to the rear wall of the Dåhjort II class light carrier speedy mc speedface

managed to get to speed limit of 10km/s found a few weird things with it.

1) over about 2kps reletive velocity collisions get wacky. likely because the colision boxes have a good chance of not hitting within on any of the frames renderend every 60th of a second

2) above about 500ms you are effictively invincible to being intercepted by the time an intercepter can launch you are already far enough away that they a) can't catch you in any reasonable amount of time or b) you can just keep accelerating to get away

3) at max speed docking is hard

4) mag boots freak out at high speed and somtimes kill you on doors

5) if you cruise at 10kps you are effectively invincible the chance of a ship realizing it hit an asteroid is effectively 0

6) player collisions seem more likely to register than ship ones above 2kps

Made it to 10000 on my singleplayer world

so oddly enough if you run straight into earth at 10k m/s you just phase through the voxel spend a few seconds traveling through the empty space in the middle and phase through the otherside and end up back in space. lol

challenge accepted

I have the Nuclear Engine mod.
Two of those got me to 10,000 in a minute.

Finaly i can get to planets without having to go 100 meters per sec.

cant wait to make some weapons with this

Better than the one ive been using only 8k NOW im Warp speed-ish
