I don't think it's true. This mod changes your background image and increases the max speed of your ships, that's it.
I think more speed means more stuff to simulate, so the sim speed should go down.
But who knows about the secret magic of game modding..

Someone told me that this mod will fix simulation speed problems.
I do not see how this mod would do that.
