Project Strident is a project where i try to reproduce the Strident class heavy frigate from halo .

V6 is the LAST VERSION of the ship because i finaly figured out how to update creation .
this ship as a full interior and this make it the first ever Frigate with full interior in Space Engineers 2 !


My goal is to recreate it as best as possible and making it survival ready for when we get planet is survival and at the same time i try to push the limite of Vrage 3 engine by detailing it as much as possible to make this ship not just unique but one of a kind .

WARNING! the ship is 830K PCU so you need a mod to increase PCU or modifie it your self in the game files .
also the ship in demanding and i recommande 10GB dram mininmum and a mid levell CPU , preferably an AMD for stability .
for me it takes a good 3 minutes to lowd .

The current lenght of the ship is around 645 meters (2115 feet) end even with its huge amount of thrusters and gyroscope it shear weight make its slow , it says without sayng that the ship is not made for any kind of gravity but it powerfull enough to land on moon like gravity so around 0,16G will empty how ever take it slow becaues it will take time to slow down .
if you ever go to far and the below thrusters are not enough then use the rear thruster to try to escape the gravity .

The ship as techniquely 10 different levells but 2 are more sub levell .
The ship as anything from a gym room to a shooting range passing by cryo room , reactor , briefing room , mutiple storage , hangar , crew quarters , ...

I also have in project for the future to make an asteroid hangar for it with auto retracable docking colar and giant clamps that will hold the ship for the docking colar to be perfecly aligne .
and a moon landing platforme (last picture) .

The ship hangar is big anough to house 3 pelican but there is also a floor just to store fighters / small space craft and a never floor to store ground vehicule .
it also has a mining hangar bay to store a small mining ship in case you ran out of uranium for you reactors.

in termes of defences none are currently working but the ship as 50 turrets of all sizes , 12 PDCs , 1 big railgun , 6 missiles bays but will probably have more eventualy , 10 torpedo bays , 6 defence drones stored in there hangars .

I hope you enjoy the ship , creating it took me around 340h .

20 fps at most
19.5GB of ram used while flying this thing (finally found a use for the 64gb of ram my system has) :D
game definitely needs optimisation XD

Yeah thats an interesting way to look at it. I personally havent worked on my paris frigate in a while. I spent some time learning the mod tools to make custom blocks but I havent been doing that in a bit either. I find it hard to stay motivated to keep working on something for such a long time. I am really fond of the project though so I will eventually get back to it, but burnout sucks.
Anyways, I like all the work you've put into this project and it looks amazing!

@UNSCfighter , well over time i think of things to add and improve because i realy care about this ship and like i sayed i whant this ship to truly be unique .

the way i see it you can do 50 ship that you wont improve or update and they become just a never ship or you can spend that time to do one and one only that you improve again and again and again and in the end you have in my opinion one of the best ship in the workshop .

like your Mulsanne-class light frigate , i dont know how far in making it you are but if you do it right it could be the most populare halo ship in all of SE2 if not the all workshop .

for exemple there is a good 6 or 7 rooms that i whant ro fully rework because its not good enough and i may add more corridors and rooms but i dont have anymore ideas of what could be added that would make sence in a war ship .

UPDATE :

improvement compare to last version ,

- new incredible custom made thrusters made by LazyNewf , a big big thanks to im
- all thursters but rear are hidden inside and dont have block damage for survival
- 30% more forward , backward and below thrusters power
- anough upward thrust for land and exite moo gravity (0,16G)
- some small interior visual improvement
- added 1 more room (QT drive room because i forgot it before)
- 30% more gyro
- 100k PCU cheaper
- run better overall
- replace allmost all outside light by glowing blocks
- more accurate visual compare to the halo 4 strident concept
- increased the armor of the bridge
- reduce and replaced some unneccesary blocks so lower lowding time

note that some room are on going a rework so there mostly empty (2rooms)

Wow this is really impressive. How do you stay motivated to continue updating this even after many months?
