Regency Rework

On base game the regency is really barebone as it consist mainly to spam interaction to swing scale of power as result making it really hard to go at max value for player and nearly impossible for AI.


This mod rework how the prower swing in generated. With this mod the swing value is based on vassal and councillor support. Each vassal with at leart county tier and adult and councillor will take a side based on different parameters (like opinion/relation/family/trait/etc...) :

- Liege side
- Neutral
- Diarch side

Neutral vassal does not have any impact on the prower swing. While each liege/diarch supporters will apply a bonus/malkus to the swing value depding on the numbers of supporters and the power of the supporter (a powerfull king vassal will have more influence than a count). If the total power of the diarch supporter is superior to the liege supporters the power swing will increase and vice versa.

This feature is limited for duke/king/emperor liege with at least 3 adult count vassal. For others the base game mechanic will apply.

The swing scale of power interaction is disabled when the feature is activated.

Diarch needs a minimum of supporters to reach a certain amount of power swing, values are subject to change, but for reaching 100 he needs 60% as exemple.

When a regency end, the diarch will keep the current value with a flap decrease each month, and when he enter in regency he will take back his previous power swing (minus the total monthly decline)

Diarch and liege will try to sway opposing or neutral supporters.

It makes vizier and co-monarch much more interessent to play as they are in permanent regency.

Limit the strife negative opinion of diarch to -35 because AI diarch always end up with -100 opinion with every vassals

The decision to take throne has been tweaked. Now, it takes to account the side of powerful vassals to invite them as conspirationist. The years spent in diarchy required has been reduced and now take all previous times (during liege travelling for exemple)

Works for both player and AI.



On the diarch UI the "swing scale of power" button is replaced by a button to acces to the supporter UI to have a full view on each side. You can see your supporter and your liege supporter. This UI is only available during regency.

If you are the liege or the diarch, you can try to make people switch side by increasing opinion or making friend.

You can also try to influence supporter to lead them toward a side. Ai supporters/liege/diarch will also try to influence others on their side.
