@Ajiliffe No, custom HUDs need to be edited for it to work. Check out https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/?id=3563695787 for instructions.

dumb question, but, this, doesn't work with any other hud mod, right?

@kouga Messing around with the files I discovered this behavior was on the material file itself. I updated the Generic Portrait mod and now it turns red when the survivor dies. You cah check out that mod.

hey im just followin up bc i cant seem to make it work on custom huds like you're claiming. which huds have you tried it on?

@Gab, thanks! also thats really weird bc i tried just earlier the same process on my custom hud but the image didnt do anything. wonder whats causing that. could you maybe send me what hud you tried it on? id like to dissect it

@kouga Followed the same process but the image reacted differently, I don't know how it works internally so I don't know the cause. Also, you're free to use this add-on for whatever, no permission needed.
