THYTHERA SYSTEM
"Where the sky is always red!"

(Please read this first, do NOT use the flashlight in this simulation! It will break the lighting and you will need to reopen Universe Sandbox! Only toggle the space goggles or play the simulation for a short time if you absolutely need to!)

-THYTHERA-
(Tie-there-rah)

Thythera is a M0V red dwarf with low metallicity, suggesting that this star formed when the universe was still very young. Because of this, the star burns it's fuel slightly faster than usual, but not by much. This results the star having surface temperatures of 3800 Kelvin, while having the mass of 32% of the Sun. Thythera today is around 7 billion years old and is expected to live for another 130 billion years. Thythera also exists in the Messier 74 Galaxy.

Thythera also has 2 asteroid belts, the Ierana (eye-ran-a) asteroid belt in the inner system, and the Ophara (oo-phara) asteriod belt in the outer system.

INNER PLANETS

-HELICA-
(Hell-ik-cah)
Helica is the closest planet that orbits Thythera. It shares similarities to that of Venus, but doesn't go all out on the atmosphere due to stronger solar wind. Because the planet is tidally locked, cloud formations are unique on this planet. This planet has gone through several severe atmosphere stripping events during the course of the star's lifetime.

-RUBURUS-
(Roo-burr-us)
A planet in between Helica and Iros that has large concentrations of ruby gemstone, due to intense volcanic activity in the past that over millions of years, the igneous rock that was under pressure slowly formed rubies. Due to insanely large concentrations of these rubies, the surface gained itself a reddish color.

-IROS-
(Eye-ros)
Iros is the only habitable planet around Thythera that hosts multicellular organic life on the surface. Due to tidal locking, only a thin band where most life exists is present on the dayside. The life here has red vegetation on it's surface due to the color wavelengths the star outputs.

-DESDEN-
(Dess-den)
A desert planet that may had conditions for liquid water on the surface, but over billions of years, most of the water on the surface is now frozen or evaporated into space. What is left now is a planet covered in mostly desert. However, unicellular life could still exist in the planet's atmosphere. But the chances of this being possible are very slim.

-SULFIS-
(Soul-fiss)
A small planet located in the outer regions of the inner system. Temperatures are cold enough on the planet where Sulfur Dioxide becomes a liquid and formed large lakes on the surface. Sulfis also has a pretty sizable moon.

- Vulcol (vull-coal) is a large moon that orbits Sulfis, the large bumps on the surface are large volcanoes that were once active, but most of the volcanoes that are present on the surface are now dormant.

ASTEROIDS

-KUBULO-
(Coo-boo-loh)
A large asteroid that somehow snuck it's way into the inner system from the Ierana asteroid belt. Although this asteroid currently does not pose a threat to Iros, Desden has the highest chance to being hit, as the asteroid has made approaches within 1 million km from the planet. Whether a collision will occur is a mystery.

-APONO-
(Ah-pon-no)
Apono is an asteroid in the Ierana asteroid belt that surprizingly enough has it's own moon. Although Apono gets close to the orbit of Sulfis, Apono is not expected to collide with the nearby planet any time soon.

- Dunku (Dun-ku) is the moon that orbits Apono, it is largely unknown how this asteroid was captured into orbit because of the insanely low gravity of both objects. Dunku may have precious metals under it's surface.

OUTER PLANETS

-HEAVOR-
(He-four)
Heavor is the largest planet in the system, which is also a gas giant. Heavor has large storms that are larger than planets in this system that may last a few decades to a few centuries. The planet itself hosts 3 moons.

- Sumara (Suu-mar-ah) is the only large moon around Heavor, it is a moon covered in a thick layer of ice that hosts a subsurface ocean. From time to time, large cryovolcanoes erupt on the surface, proving that Sumara is geologically active. Sumara might contain some form of life in the oceans around hydrothermal vents.

- Genos (Gee-nos) is a small asteroid in a nearly circular orbit around Heavor, Genos's composition may be mostly made out of gold, which gives this asteroid it's yellow color.

- Eras (Er-as) is a captured asteroid around Heavor, Eras's orbit is extremely unpredictable over long timescales as it is constantly changing due to gravity between Thythera and Heavor. Eras might no longer orbit Heavor within a few million years.

-COLDONA-
(Col-don-a)
Coldona is a large ice-giant beyond Heavor. It is the planet with the highest windspeeds, ranging from 700 to 1,600 kilometers per hour. Like Heavor, this planet has large storms that last a while. Coldona has 3 moons in total.

-Uradia (U-raid-ia) is the innermost moon of Coldona. This moon has such a large iron core that there are core layers and produces a magnetic field. Uradia also has the largest Uranium concentrations in the system.

-Oxona (Ox-oh-na) is the second moon out from Coldona. This moon has temperatures cold enough for oxygen to become liquid and form large lakes on the surface.

- Corria (Core-ia) is the furthest moon from Coldona. Corria could be a fragment from Uradia from a past collision, given that this moon is almost made entirely out of Uranium as well.

OPHARA BELT OBJECTS

(By this point, I highly suggest that you turn on your space goggles, since there will be little to no light beyond this point.)

-NERUS-
(Ner-us)
Nerus is the innermost dwarf planet in the Thythera system. Most of the surface is covered in Methane and Nitrogen ice due to the insanely cold temperatures at this distance. Nerus also has 3 moons, but don't have any important traits. It is possible that these moons could've been captured and circularized over time.

-GURDUMA-
(Gur-doom-a)
Gurduma is the largest dwarf planet located in this asteroid belt and throughout this entire system. Gurduma has very rough terrain on it's surface, including deep craters and steep canyons.

- Joiva (Hoy-vah) is the only moon that orbits Gurduma. It is most likely a recently captured asteroid, given by it's eccentric orbit and retrograde motion.

OUTSKIRTS

-NERION-
(Ner-e-on)
A very distant ice giant in the outskirts of this system. Nerion was once much closer in the distant past, but due to gravitational interactions, it is by far the most distant planet that originated from this system and is most likely responsible for the dwarf planets's eccentric orbits. Shockingly enough, Nerion has captured moons that likely originated from the Ophara asteroid belt.

- Errana (E-rana) is a captured large asteroid composed entirely of water ice, containing the most ancient water in this system.

-Toli (Tall-e) is a captured asteroid made of Methane and Ammonia ice, due to stellar radiation reaching the surface over time, this asteroid has a reddish surface.

-Arno (R-no) is an asteroid made of Argon ice, which is also the smallest moon around Nerion.

-TERROZA-
(Tear-oh-zah)
Terroza is by far the most distant object in the entire system. Given by it's size, it can't be a dwarf planet, but rather a captured planet that originated from another star system. Terroza has an extremely eccentric orbit and also contains materials from another star system, since the materials found on this planet didn't form this far.

- Comuno (Comm-un-no) is Terroza's only moon and is small. But Comuno has been orbiting Terroza even before ejection. But now after a long time orbiting Terroza through interstellar space, these celestial bodies finally found a new home.
