Draken Races Extended

Description
This mod enhances all existing races by adding one active ability and several thematic passives that better reflect their racial identity. These additions are designed to integrate seamlessly into the game's systems while encouraging more diverse playthrough's when chosing characters of different races.

Changes:

Human
  • Active: Rally – Heal yourself or nearby companions in a pinch.
  • Passive: Expert Haggling – 15% lower item prices.
  • Passive: Natural Leadership – +1 companion slot.

Dwarf
  • Active: Grit – Become harder to kill but move slower. Classic Dwarven stubbornness!
  • Passive: Expert Mining – +50% mining yield.
  • Passive: Packbearing – +30 carry weight.
  • Passive: Infravision – Full dark vision, limited day vision.

Rasimi
  • Active: Leap – A quick athletics-powered jump.
  • Passive: Cat's Agility – Immune to fall damage.
  • Passive: Feral Reflex – 5% dodge chance.
  • Passive: Infravision – Full dark vision, limited day vision.

Elf
  • Active: Vine Arrow – A magical poison-tipped ranged attack.
  • Passive: Expert Archer – +10% bow damage.
  • Passive: Sylvan Step – Ignore terrain movement penalties.

Reptilion
  • Active: Tail Swipe – A 2-tile range disarming attack.
  • Passive: Reptilion Claws – Catch fish/salvage corpses without tools.
  • Passive: Reach Advantage – +10% polearm damage.

Bone Wraith
  • Active: Burning Blade – Melee strike dealing fire damage.
  • Passive: Sense Weakness – 10% crit chance.
  • Passive: Burn Immunity

Gnoll
  • Active: Howl – Debuff all nearby enemies.
  • Passive: All Fours – Faster movement (-0.15 move time).
  • Passive: Expert Scavenger – +35% corpse scavenging yield.
  • Passive: Sense Prey – Reveals target's weakest resistance.
  • ❌ Infravision removed

Mushman
  • Active: Mycophagy – Consume corpses to get better regeneration over time.
  • Passive: Spore Sense – Partial rear vision.
  • Passive: Toxibloom – Poison immunity.
  • Passive: Infravision – Full dark vision, limited day vision.
  • Weakness: Saprotic Lull – -33% HP regen tick speed.

Ursan
  • Active: Call Lightning – A stunning electric strike from the sky.
  • Passive: Frozen Will – +10% willpower.
  • Passive: Tundra Titan – Wield 2H maces in one hand.

Goblin
  • Active: Dirty Fighting – Cone blind with thrown sand.
  • Passive: Bladewit – +10% dagger damage.
  • Passive: Goblin Greed – +100% value of items in treasure chest.

Troll
  • Active: Stoneform – Heal and take reduced damage, become immobile & stunned briefly.
  • Passive: Undying Flesh – +10% endurance.
  • Passive: Infravision – Full dark vision, limited day vision.
  • Weakness: Slow Step – -0.1 move speed.
  • ⚡ Inherent 20% faster HP regen tick

Orc
  • Active: Anticipation – Abilities used within 2 turns deal +35% damage.
  • Passive: Orcish Rage – On hit: +2 Strength (stacks/decays quickly).
  • Passive: Juggernaut – Immune to stun.

Some of the abilities or passives allows gaining xp in skills that are considered hard to learn if not started with - elves can gain floromancy xp by using their vine arrow, bone wraiths can gain pyromancy xp by using burning blade, humans can level up leadership by hiring and ordering companion at the start, mushmen mycophagy is borderline dabbling on necromantic powers, and so on. This is intended.

Note: It is not compatible with other mods that modify the passive traits of vanilla races.

This mod is not compatible with my other 'Disabled Consumption' mod:

  • Mods cannot be added or removed during gameplay on specific world.
  • If you decide to disable the mod mid-play, you will not be able to load world that used the mod. (until you enable it again)

Changelog:
- 1.0.1 - Fixed assets.json typo and fixed Grit movement speed from -0.5 to +0.5 (actually slower movement, not faster)

The Dwarf carry weight doesn't work correctly with the mule passive from athletics. I would think they would stack, but they do not. I think the mule passive overrides the packbearer trait. I have 21 strength, mule, and packbearer, but only have 62 carry weight.

The game is misleading I guess, just checked and the 'extra chest' passive does give value to the items that can roll in treasure chest, which may, or may not cause extra items to spawn (especially in lower diff pois).

So goblin got a +100% value bonus applied.

You can add mods to existing world using a guide that is posted on steam, but it would require a new character to work.

Not inherited per se, but whatever race you play should have access to it's own racial active ability.
