Bast Feels Alive

Description
In the lore, Bast is supposed to be a warzone where the armies of the United Cities and Holy Nation clash in a perpetual stalemate. In the game however, it doesn’t matter if one side falls as the area stays the same without the other advancing. (with the exception of Drin). This mod gives extra reactions to all Bast settlements according to the player’s actions while respecting the lore without adding new locations or factions.

NEW CHARACTERS
-Inquisitor Ueito (Okran’s Fist)
-High Paladin Ignatius (Holy Watchtower)
-High Paladin Torin (Patrol)
-High Paladin Valus (Patrol)
-Samurai Captain Masaru (Drin)
-Samurai Sergeant Heisho (Guard Outpost N)
-Samurai Sergeant Raido (Guard Outpost S)
-Samurai Sergeant Akio (Patrol)
-Samurai Sergeant Taisa (Patrol)

WATCHTOWERS
-If High Paladin Ignatius is defeated, the tower will fall to the UC.
-If Samurai Sergeant Heisho/Raido are defeated, their tower will fall to the HN.
-If both factions were destroyed (Phoenix and Tengu dead/imprisoned) the towers will become ruined.

MORALE SYSTEM
Around the region you might encounter some unique characters leading big combat patrols with bounties on their heads. If you were to defeat them and turn them over to the other side’s authorities, that side’s troops will receive a morale boost. (Each capture will give 10 morale points, after 50 morale points visible changes can be noticed in Bast)
-If morale is high for the UC more patrols will appear and less HN patrols will be seen.
-If morale is high for the HN more patrols will appear and less UC patrols will be seen.

ENDIN AND BAST
Both towns react to the player’s action either in Bast or around the continent, if one side start’s winning, they will follow a three-step rebuilding process. However, if both sides fall they will fall to the cannibals or if the player is allied to the Rebel Farmers they will fall to the Empire Peasants.
1. If morale is high for the UC/HN they will establish a small garrison (barracks and gate guards)
2. If ALL the watchtowers are either controlled by UC/HN then some basic vendors will be added.
3. If Samurai Captain Masaru or Inquisitor Ueito are defeated, then both towns will be fully rebuilt.

DRIN
Drin starts as a UC outpost and is the only settlement to have some kind of reactivity in vanilla, but I felt it was lacking so I expanded on it. As Endin and Bast,(if both the UC and HN are dead) they will fall to the Empire Peasants if you are allied to the Rebel Farmers or to the cannibals if you aren’t.
For the UC:
1.If UC morale is high, their garrison will expand, and some vendors will appear.
2.If High Paladin Ignatius and Inquisitor Ueito are defeated, then the town will be fully transformed into a regular UC town.
For the HN:
1.If HN morale is high, the watchtowers are under HN control and Samurai Captain Masaru is defeated, the HN will establish a small outpost. (Bar, barracks and gate guards)
2.If Lord Inaba is also defeated, the town will be fully rebuilt.

RAVAGED HAMLETS
There is no type of reactivity for these in the base game. Now, as the towns previously mentioned, they can be rebuilt if any faction gains control of the region.
For the UC:
1.If morale is high for the UC, samurai will camp these ruins.
2.If High Paladin Ignatius and Inquisitor Ueito are also defeated, the empire peasants will rebuild them and farm the land.
3.If the player is allied to the Slave Traders or if Tinfist is defeated these newly built farms will be enslaved.
For the HN:
1.If morale is high, all watchtowers are in HN control and Samurai Captain Masaru and Lord Inaba are defeated, the hamlets will become Holy Farms.
Neither:
1.If both factions are dead, the hamlets will become ruins once again unless the player is allied to the Rebel Farmers. In that case, they will become farms under the Empire Peasants.

EVERYTHING IS OPTIONAL
¿You don’t want to defeat all these mini bosses just to see a few buildings be restored? It’s all right, if you make either the UC or HN fall the traditional way, all settlements will skip to their final stage of rebuilding. (Except the watchtowers who will become ruined)
For the UC to fall you need to kill Tengu and Lord Inaba.
For the HN to fall you need to kill the Phoenix, Seta, Valtena and Ueito.

NEW GAME STARTS
- Battle for Bast (HN): Start as a Holy Sentinel with a few Holy Chosen and fight for Okran.
- Battle for Bast (UC): Start as a group of Samurai Conscripts separated from their platoon.
- Deserters: Start as a Holy Chosen and a Samurai Conscript hated by both your original factions.

TROPHY SYSTEM
Battlefields often provide individuals with unique opportunities, in Bast paladins and samurai often carry personal items which can be sold as trophies to the other side. Higher ranks carry better trophies than regular troops. (Holy Nation troops carry special Holy Flames and samurai often bring an imperial banner)

¡¡¡WARNING!!!
It may have some compatibility issues with large overhaul mods or those who change the equipment of HN or UC soldiers. In order to try to prevent these, you should put this mod BELOW the other one in the loading order.
