After first Contact -Alt his

Description
In 1979, a massive alien mothership appeared over London. In response, the British and French governments scrambled fighter jets to investigate. None returned.

Two hours later, a powerful bomb was dropped near London. The explosion was so enormous, it was felt across the world—even as far as Los Angeles. Most of Great Britain was simply… gone.

In a desperate attempt to stop the threat, both the American and Soviet governments launched full-scale military attacks against the ship. They failed. With no other choice, a final decision was made: nuclear annihilation.

Only 12 hours after the ship’s arrival, the United States and the Soviet Union launched every nuclear weapon they had—nearly 50,000 nukes. Around 46,000 reached their target. The alien ship was destroyed, but only after it had released all of its payload.

The resulting shockwaves flattened cities all the way to Washington, D.C., and completely destroyed Europe. The blast left behind a crater the size of Africa. Fallout spread across the planet, turning most of the world into a wasteland.

But we survived. Now we wonder: what else is out there?

Global Aftermath: Power Shifts and Survival

China
Hit less severely than others, China rose from the ashes as a new global superpower. It expanded into Southeast Asia and parts of Russia, surpassing even the United States in influence.

United States
After what survivors now call "The Contact," half of the U.S. was reduced to wasteland. Much of its population and military strength was wiped out. But by the year 2000, America regained power, annexing Mexico and Canada to rebuild its strength.

India
Like China, India was hit less directly. This allowed it to expand and emerge as a world power—arguably stronger than the post-Contact United States.

Soviet Union
The Soviet Union crumbled after the attacks. Many of its states declared independence, such as Siberia and a new Russian Republic. However, global instability led to widespread revolts, dragging the region into chaos.

Africa
Most of Africa was turned into wasteland, though the southern regions were less affected. Countries like South Africa and the Congo began to rebuild and rise as new regional powers.

South America
The least affected continent, South America was mostly spared from the devastation. However, political revolts and internal conflicts broke out as nations competed for control and dominance in a new world.
