Description
KAISERREICH – INDIAN OCEAN OVERHAUL 1.0
This is a simple submod for Kaiserreich. You NEED to run this with the Kaiserreich mod.
The goal of this submod is to add more flavor when playing as the German Empire and adding more interaction with its colonial territories in the Indian Ocean.
Features
After Black Monday you will eventually get an event in which you will be able to:
  • Select what to do with each territory in the Indian Ocean one by one. You can form a German Colony in Madagascar and a different one in Ceylon and choose what islands should be attached to each administration.
  • Set up a new administration “German Indo-Africa” across the entire Indian Ocean and select one of three governors who have different governance strategies.
  • Set up puppet kingdoms/republics on these two major islands.
  • Split the Indian Ocean Territories between Mittelafrika and German East Asia.
  • Tonnes of flavor for each path, do read the events and be careful with your choices. There is potential for strong bonuses or you could lose your colonies.
    Bugs and Balance
    This is the first release of the mod and my first time coding HOI4. I would be very grateful if you could report to me any issues or bugs that you may come across and I will look into it and update the mod.
    DISCLAIMER
    This mod is intended for German Empire monarchist runs. It does not offer the possibility to play as the released nations. All content is for the German Empire and its interaction with said new administrations.

Whatever you do for the patch to bring it up to date with KR, Would love to see some minor expansions of content if you got the energy for such a thing! A compatibility update is more than enough of course

Did anything break here with the new Kaiserreich patch? A lot of defs changed names. The Ruhrkampf didn't fire for me this last playthrough, so maybe?

Some other submods stopped the 2ACW from firing for ex. It's a bit random, depending on which events this depends on or affects.

It'd be a lot more fun if you could actually play as the colony, rather than just be Germany.

can I make this mod a dependency of my mod so loading both won't ruin the colors of certain countries

Mod has been updated to KR 1.5 and all issues related to the American Civil War not triggering have been fixed.

Please update for KR 1.5, it seems to bug out 2ACW from starting bugging out the USA.
