VERESKOVO

Posadkovo — Arma 3 Terrain

Posadkovo is a fictional map for Arma 3, set in a post-Soviet rural region marked by its vast fields, dense tree lines, and quiet, scattered settlements. The area blends natural beauty with subtle remnants of a troubled past — long-forgotten infrastructure, abandoned outposts, and faded traces of what once was.

This 10×10 km terrain (100 km²) offers a balance between open plains for vehicle movement and tight forest corridors ideal for ambushes and infantry combat. Posadkovo was never a place of strategic importance — yet its history suggests otherwise. During the late Soviet era, the area hosted a variety of low-profile government projects. Locals still speak in hushed tones about the fenced-off zones, rusting tankers in the woods, and the strangely lush fields that never seemed to need irrigation.

While there’s no official record of military installations, aerial surveys show unusual land formations and structural ruins that don’t match any known blueprints. In the 1990s, small criminal groups operated in the region, taking advantage of its isolation. Rumors persist of hidden stashes, unexplained disappearances, and peculiar entries in old hospital logs.

Despite its sleepy appearance, Posadkovo carries a quiet tension — a map built not just for firefights, but for storytelling.

Where is Posadkovo?

Posadkovo is a remote rural district somewhere deep in Veresovia — that very country which, after the collapse of the USSR, never managed to escape the eternal 1990s. Here, trolleybuses still run that should have been scrapped back in the Gorbachev era; military depots are filled with rusting weapons bearing scratched-off serial numbers from Soviet units; and stores sell canned meat stamped with the year 1989. Veresovia is a place where time got stuck — between a past that’s long gone and a future that never arrived. In the city center, you might find an ultra-modern building, and just across the street — a crumbling barrack where people still live. The capital boasts Michelin-starred restaurants, while just a hundred kilometers away, there are villages where people still heat their homes with old-style black smoke ovens.

It’s a country that could have become something else — but stubbornly remains itself.

And Posadkovo? It’s a typical backwater of Veresovia: a handful of dying settlements, abandoned collective farm fields, and roads that haven’t seen repairs in decades. There’s nothing remarkable here — just mud, rusting fences, and people who gave up hoping for anything better a long time ago.

Why are you unable to get the AI to garrisson some of the building assets?

anyone getting massive frame drops in this map? I don't have any problems elsewhere.


when the AI get stuck in certain buildings a feed back loop occurs where the AI is trying to find a path , this creates a massive FPS drop if you are using certain AI mods , in some cases the buildings are fine but there is possibly objects around that are obstructing the path , this map is beautiful and i would like to see more but when i use DCO ai i also have troubles with the buildings

@BomBom This is a reference to a real place in Ukraine, there were different memes about it, you are great that you found the Easter egg, although it is not that hard to find XD

Great terrain for vehicular combat with some detailed areas for infantry combat. I especially like the children's playground and swan pond at Leopardovka. This is something different to look at for Arma players! Hope you're able to find creative juices to finish this one day.
