Jordan 191 Austria

Kuvaus
I was deeply saddened to hear of EJ's passing, so this is my tribute of sorts. Austria is my favourite track, and Jordans were the only cars on my bedroom wall back in the day.

Fitting with the man himself, this is a deliberately aggressive and unstable time trial setup created over the course of 100-ish laps. It lacks downforce to make the most out of the three DRS zones. If it wasn't for the slightly technical 2nd sector, this setup would have barely any downforce at all, so you can probably lower the front wing a bit if you've got a wheel. My fastest time (1:16:147, which is decent for a 1991 car that never won anything, and trades blows with the MP4/4 ghost cars that I kept coming across) was set with a lower front, but I couldn't reliably keep it on the road in S2 or the final corner.

My driving style prefers a loose rear and pointy front, so if that's not you then you won't enjoy this.

Probably viable for racing if you reduce the camber and tyre pressure by half. Maybe boost the rear wing by 1-2 to account for tyre deg and stability.

Ooh nice! I'll try and beat it until then!

I tried it out for 7 laps, my best attempt was a 1:16:000 (exactly 000, literally a millisecond away from a 1:15:9) :') - I'll try it again when I get a new steering wheel since the one I have is around 11 years old and on its' last legs lol

Rest in Peace, Eddie Jordan. Nice way to make a tribute for him by the way! :)
