Classic Tempus Irae (2006)

Over the years Nardo has received numerous requests for an Aleph One version of "Tempus Irae", and that day has arrived. Thanks to the tireless and efficient efforts of Gregory Smith, and the Never Satisfied work ethic of James Hastings-Trew, the time has come for Nardo to proudly announce the official release of "Tempus Irae" and "Tempus Irae 2: The Lost Levels" for Aleph One.

Aside from being both Mac and PC compatible, this new release has received a major artistic restoration in the process. Every texture has been recreated - mostly done with Cinema 4D - in hi-res splendor. To further enhance the beauty of the game, an additional download is available to add breathtaking hi-res landscapes.

Installation and gameplay enjoyment have never been easier. Each file offered below comes with easy to follow instructions for either platform. The levels are unchanged from their original release, with the exception of the new hi-res textures and landscapes. It goes without saying - it's a whole new game.

"Tempus Irae" was created to be a FUN scenario to play, filled with mouth watering eye candy, and plenty of ammo to accomplish the tasks at hand. We hope you have nearly as much fun playing the game, as we did creating it. As always, we encourage you to send us your Net Films, as well as any Films depicting your VidMaster prowess. If they're good enough, we'll happily post them on our Films archive page at nardo.bungie.org. Keep in mind, saved games and films from the original "Tempus Irae" release will NOT work in the Aleph One application.

Enhanced Hi-Res Landscapes:
"Tempus Irae" Premium Landscapes.

Shots Fired:
Shots Fired replaces graphics for the following items: rocket and grenade contrails, flamethrower, juggernaut rocket trails, S'pht projectiles, Pfhor projectiles, Enforcer projectiles, and both types of fusion gun projectiles. The replaced graphics are sharper, smoother, brighter, and blend more correctly on screen than the pixelated sprites included in the basic game graphics. Great care was taken to make the replacements graphically similar in shape, color and style to the originals. Needless to say, this modification requires you to be running Aleph One in OpenGL mode. (This modification is compatible with "Marathon 2", "Marathon Infinity", and "Tempus Irae".)

Aleph One:
You do not need any other version of "Marathon" to run "Tempus Irae", so just be sure to have the Aleph One distribution for your particular operating system.
