Описание
Update 2025-9-9: CK3 1.17 compatible. Support for More Lifestyles is temporarily removed as it causes some issue when More Lifestyles is not enabled.

Description
Holding Weapon Portraits is a mod makes holding weapon poses more common on characters' portraits, and makes the weapon model on portrait corespond to the actual weapon artifact the character equips.

When a character meets both following conditions, he will get holding weapon pose on his portrait:
(1) equips a weapon artifact;
(2) has martial lifestyle, or has prowess lifestyle (requires More Lifestyles), or is a councillor marshal, or is a knight, or is an adventurer with mercenary purpose, or is an adventurer with brigand purpose .

New Weapon: Greatsword is supported, but not required.

Compatiblity
Not compatible with mods altering following files:
gfx\portraits\portrait_animations\animations.modifierpack
gfx\portraits\portrait_animations\animations.txt

Unfortunately, support for More Lifestyles is temporarily removed as it causes some issue when More Lifestyles is not enabled. I would try to figure out how to fix it in the future.

I checked it and unfortunately the animation is not very suitable for bows and crossbows. So I decided not to add it.

hey man! love your work, I have a suggestion: do you think you could also make the same thing work with the Prowess Lifestyle from the mod "More Lifestyles".

When I'm done with a character's martial lifestyle I usually switch to a prowess lifestyle and continue on that path, so it would be cool to still keep our weapon in our portraits even if we switch. Just if you can! Anyways, your mods are awesome, love them <3
