Heading in from Huntingdon

Description
You are in charge of the 18:04 First Capital Connect service from Huntington to London Kings Cross, one of the few services to start short of the usual destinations. This is a semi fast service and you will be driving a Networker Express unit (365). You are routed on the slow lines to Stevenage and then the fast lines after that. Your calling points are St Neots, Hitchin, Stevenage, Finsbury Park and finally London Kings Cross. The lines are quite busy at this time as it is early evening so there are a lot of AI trains about.

There are also a few signal bugs so just before you set off from Huntingdon you will probably need to TAB as the signal doesn't change once the first train has passed. Also when approaching Stevenage and Kings Cross you will need to TAB just before you enter the platforms or you'll get emergency brakes.

The player and AI trains are based on and set to the 2014 timetables

Difficulty: Easy/Medium

Duration: 55 minutes

You will need

ECML London to Peterborough

Class 91 Intercity 225

Class 222 Meridian (for the Hull Trains services)

@tonix Although this type of train is actually called a Networker rather than a Sprinter.

@pjohnandlyns That's interesting, I didn't know that as this is now the 5th scenario I have made for this route and it had never happened on the others.
Re: Freight AI, I had wanted to add some but as it was not on the timetable for that year, the ones I tried to add messed up the timetable for the passenger AI trains for some reason.

proper sprinter driviver job with some AI.
also the last signal before Kings Cross wasn't faulty.
and yes some freight and/or sidings AI can be great like pjohandlyns said.
solved on time. thank you

Nicely done, ran with no problems at all. I think it would have been better still with a couple of freight services added in the down direction.

One other point. There is noting wrong with the signals at Stevenage or KX. It's the TPWS (Train Protection & Warning System) grids that are activating the emergency brakes.

When a signal has these grids (not all do) you will see 2 grids then the AWS ramp before the signal. If that signal is RED on approach then you MUST pass over the grids at less than 20 mph or the brakes come on. There are also 2 grids part way down each platform at KX and if you pass over these above 11 mph same thing happens.
These is a section on this system in the route manual.
