Description

Plot/Story
This mod will start were the original Half Life 2 episode 2 ended, with the death of Alyx's father. She became sick by the loss and lays in bed. Magnusson needs Gordon to look for Kleiner, because he has disappeared. The last time he did see Kleiner was when he spoke about going to the Borealis to blow the ship and everything inside up. Gordon needs to travel by airship to the North pole and find Kleiner, and save the ship. Will you be on time? And will you find out what the secret cargo that is inside the Borealis?

1.1 Bugs:
- Gravity and or Slow Motion
- No HUD
- AI_Disabled
- Valve updates
- God mode

+ Gravity and or Slow Motion:
Because of some gameplay elements like slow motion, and less
gravity it can happen that these effects continue when a earlier
save point is loaded. To stop these effects use the console command:
host_timescale 1
(see 4.1 for how to use console commands).

+ No HUD:
In cutscenes and times when the player doesn't held a weapon
the HUD is disabled. But when you load a save point while such a
effect takes place it can happen that the HUD stays disabled.
To undo this effect use console command:
cl_drawhud 1
Check also if Crosshair is disabled and use this console command: crosshair 1

+ AI_Disabled: (all enemies don't move anymore) :
A very rare bug, but very annoying. It only seems to take place on -64 bits computers. Or when the AI Graph itself got corrupted.
To fix it, right-click in Steam on:
Half-Life 2
go to Properties,
click Set Launch Options and type in: -32bit
and press OK.

+ Valve updates:
For many years Valve has released updates that do cause big problems to already existing
mods. This mod has no major bugs at the day of its release, but for sure will a Valve
update cause problems in the (near) future. So please check Valve update (bug) solutions
when you experience a bug that isn't described here.

+ Godmode:
This happens on the map spymaps_19 where the Player becomes non solid which means they won't be able to
take damage by any means. To fix this complete the map load onto the spymaps_20 then open console and do
respawn_entities after that go to where the map was loaded then type this in order inside console: Give
item_suit,weapon_crowbar,weapon_rpg,weapon_pistol or impulse 101

2.1 How to use the Console;
- Choose ‘Options’ and hit the "Keyboard" tab, then hit "Advanced".
- Check the box for ‘Enable Developer Console’.
- Hit OK and Apply to save the changes.
- Press the ’tilde’ (~) key (located above ‘Tab’).
The developer console box should appear.

3.1 Explanation of HUD disappearing .
- In cutscenes and times when the player doesn't held a weapon
the HUD is disabled. But when you load a save point manually it
can happen that the HUD stays disabled. To undo this effect use
console command (see 4.1 for how to use console commands) :
cl_drawhud 1

4.1 Half Life 2, Episode 3 has a "less-many enemies" mode.
At the start of the mod, (in level 2) you can decide to choose for
more enemies, or less enemies (which is the same as the default amount
of enemies is the Half Life 2 and Episodes games. In most
cases this means that a extra amount of 2 to 3 to the existing enemies,
and less ammo, health and batteries. Important to know is that you can
only choose ones for this option, at the start of the mod. This can't be
changed later on in the mod. Also important to know is that when you
load a level manually through console you loose the "many enemies"
mode, which means that the new level is started in the "normal/less
enemies mode"! Only by going through the normal levelchanges at
each end of a level you keep playing in the "more enemies" mode.
Or by using the Load option of a Saved game.

Finished playthrough. many hours (8+). Love the cartoons. And please, do watch the credits at the end, they put many many years of work into this. Happy & sad ending.
