Scrap Upgrade UI Framework

In 6.0, CA restricted the scrap upgrade system to greenskin & woodelf only.

There are many mods that utilized this system; so this mod overwrites two related ui files & open it to all races (except Clan Moulder).

The screenshot showed such demo for Bretonnia & Cathay; the mod itself only tweaks the twui files, not including any upgrade option.


Ensure other mods that relied on the scrap upgrade UI to work properly, e.g., Dirty Dan's mods.

Multiple mods adding upgrades to the same unit can co-exist without issue.

The UI button appears down in the army panel if the army contains upgrade-able units, and otherwise hidden (thanks to suggestion from @Backmechuisa).

Clan Moulder is excluded from using scrap upgrade due to possible free upgrade exploit, because they are supposed to always use the flesh lab.


This mod is safe to add or remove mid-campaign, and compatible with all mods --- but it can override or be overwritten if other mods also changed the same two ui files, depending on load order.



Q: Where is the scrap upgrade button?
A: Down in the army panel. The button is hidden if the selected army has no units available for upgrade.

Q: Why I can only purchase one upgrade?
A: This is irrelevant of the UI mod. By default greenskin and woodelf can purchase all upgrade in vanilla; but modded upgrade is usually restricted to one upgrade --- please ask the respective mod author to relax this.

Q: In the upgrade UI, some unit cards default to greenskin!
A: That means the unit is missing large unit cards. Can happen to vanilla or modded units. Purely cosmetic and does not affect the upgrade function.

Q: Why are there upgrades I cannot buy?
A: You will be able to check the available upgrade for each unit, but the required resource may not be available to your faction. E.g., Duke of Bretonnia adds scrap upgrade to Montfort faction, and all other Bretonnia factions can see the upgrades but not buy them.
