It is recommended to use only the mod for the specific game you are currently playing. For example, if you are currently playing HL2 EP1, then the mods for HL2 and HL2 EP2 should be disabled in the settings, because otherwise some textures may look incorrect. This is due to the peculiarity of the Steam Workshop file structure. Or use the alternative option with manual installation.

I found that when this mod is disabled for Ep2, only then I solve the issue of the rubble texture repeating in the sky by about 4x4 in front of the portal. It now looks normal without enabling.

I run on 2k (2560 * 1440) HDR monitor with 16:9 aspect ratio

Ahh, so these textures are already upscaled. I thought you found textures that were left in the original resolution. And with these ones you showed, I can't make them even better, they need to be retextured from scratch.

Okay, here are screenshots. I've tried to include a description of where in the map they are, but let me know if you need the saves too. I think you have to zoom in in order to truly be able to tell whether it's been upscaled or not.

@Jerethi, Thanks for reporting the issue! Yes, I checked and it turned out that for some reason the workshop_dir.vpk file was zero size, apparently it was some kind of glitch in Steam Workshop. I re-uploaded the mod, now Episode 2 works fine again.
