Left 4 Bots 2 Smart Vocalizer

Description
A vocalizer mod tailored to Left 4 Bots 2 commands. [github.com] Including some new ones that are exclusive to this mod!

Make sure to configure the keybinds in-game under Options>Keyboard/Mouse>Edit Keys/Buttons>Left 4 Bots 2 Smart Vocalizer!

Commands:
  • Select: Selects a bot you're looking at to be the subject for other commands.
  • Cancel: Selected bots will cancel active orders.
  • Move...:
    • Go There: Selected bots will go to the location you’re looking at.
    • Come Here: Selected bots will come to you.
    • Go To...: Opens a menu to have selected bots go to a specific character.
    • Follow Me: Selected bots will follow you.
    • Follow...: Opens a menu to have selected bots follow a specific character.
    • Lead the Way: Selected bots will lead the way toward the nearest saferoom.
    • Hurry: Selected bots will enter a state of hurrying, causing them to temporarily ignore pending actions.
  • Wait...:
    • Wait There: Selected bots will wait at the location you’re looking at.
    • Stay Put: Selected bots will wait at their current location.
    • Wait Here: Selected bots will wait at your location.
    • Wait By...: Opens a menu to have selected bots wait by a specific character.
  • Items...:
    • Pick Up / Use That: Selected bots will pick up / use the item you're looking at. If the item is a scavengeable gas can, they will attempt to scavenge it. If the item is a destroyable barrier, bots will destroy it.
    • Deploy Item: A selected bot will deploy / pick up & deploy their incendiary / explosive ammo.
    • Swap Item: A selected bot will swap items depending on what you're holding.
    • Request Item: A selected bot will give you an item that you don't have.
  • Heal...:
    • Heal Yourself: Selected bots will heal themselves.
    • Heal Me: A selected bot will heal you.
    • Heal Survivor...: Opens a menu to have selected bots heal a specific character.
    • Use Pills / Adrenaline: Selected bots will use pills / adrenaline.
  • Throw...:
    • Throw Pipe Bomb: A selected bot will toss a pipe bomb toward the location you're looking at.
    • Throw Molotov: A selected bot will toss a molotov toward the location you're looking at.
    • Throw Boomer Bile: A selected bot will toss boomer bile toward the location you're looking at.
    • Throw Anything: A selected bot will toss their throwable toward the location you're looking at.
  • Focus...:
    • Focus Fire: Selected bots will fire at whatever you fire at until you cancel the command.
    • Crown Witch: A selected bot will attack a witch if you're looking at one. Bots with shotguns can crown witches.
  • Warp...:
    • Warp There: Selected bots will teleport to the location you’re looking at.
    • Warp Here: Selected bots will teleport to your location.
    • Warp To...: Opens a menu to have selected bots teleport to a specific character.
    • Warp Move: Selected Bots will teleport to wherever they are trying to go (if they are trying to go somewhere).

Other Changes / Fixes:
  • Bots will now respond to non-host players.
  • Bots will now always prioritize newer commands over older ones.
  • Follow, Go To, and Heal commands no longer break when selecting other non-bot players as destination targets.
  • Wait and Warp commands can now specify a survivor as a destination target.

@HAY_DE_DREAMER the chat command to get the bots to use pills/adre is "bots tempheal", replace "bots" with the name if you want a specific one only

the use pills feature is bugging, the bot will not use the pills even I typed "Ellis use pills"

It took a lot of trial and error, but I found out that by enabling Steam Input, you can set a joystick to behave as the mouse with the Joystick Mouse option. The downside is that you can't map controller buttons while using Steam Input. So you have to set the Smart Vocalizer to a keyboard key, and then set the button you want on the controller to that keyboard key in Steam Input. However, it will forget your mappings every time you restart the game. In order for it to remember, you have to keep the gamepad enabled in the settings menu, and then manually add the keyboard key binds to the 360 controller config. Only then will it load back up your key bindings, and only while a controller is connected.

Also, one other complication for me personally is that I play with inverted Y-axis for camera, and that unfortunately continues to be inverted for the wheel menus. I guess it's the best I'm going to get. Really it's way more complicated than it should be.
