*UPDATE: Changed Ambience*

"The Fatherland's forces have made excellent progress towards Stalingrad. Our swift advance has caught the Soviets by surprise - an advantage we should capitalize upon so our forces can safely breach Stalingrad's walls without fear of attack from the rear.

We've been tasked to secure the village of Spartanovka. But Ivan's not going to surrender this sorry pile of bricks without a fight, so we'll have to take it from him!

First, take the church - use the gullies for cover on the way in and watch for enemy fire coming from the windows. Then move to clear the first housing block - remember, Russian soldiers love dirty, close-quarter fighting, so watch your backs going room-to-room.

Next, clear the second housing block - again, be careful and watch your flanks for stray enemy activity. Finally, once the other three objectives are secure, move to capture the Town Hall to the east. We think it'll be the most heavily defended enemy position, so make good use of cover wherever possible.

It's a simple mission, but you'll still need to work fast. Remember your training; while the Bolsheviks are ill-prepared, never underestimate their willingness to spend lives if it means spilling even just a drop of German blood." -Tripwire Interactive

{Welcome to Beren's Red Orchestra}
+=+==+=+==+=+==+=+==+=+==+=+==+
This mission is a passion project within the making. This is my first venture into making a custom map with a specific goal in mind and I blew my own expectations out of the water. Finally I can create trenches and place foxholes to my hearts content and be amazed that my AI actually use them and really become hardy defenders. I love witnessing the AI take similar paths to that of the ones of my childhood. My dad introduced me to Red Orchestra when I was 8 then later bought me RO2 when I was 12-13. Playing this map in Easy Red 2 is just a dream come true and what I was really hoping to relive with the introduction of the Stalingrad DLC last year!

I will be updating the map and subsequent mission(s) frequently as it is my current fixation. Each substantial update to the mission and map will increase difficulty. I should've playtested more but I was too excited about the map and wanted to get something out for the people to play and witness something different. Thanks for reading and many more thanks for continuing to play my missions!

*Squads inspired by RO fireteams*
- Each side has a Veteran squad (automatic weapon priority) , a Rifle squad (grunts), and a Communications squad (call in support, Officer's of this squad have Binoculars as their secondary)
{Binocular Instructions; Equip binoculars -> aim at desired location -> Issue infantry command or fire mission at will}
- Warning for COD3 models for the Germans, ADS may encounter visual oddity of seeing your own nose. I think the models are very pretty and are worth the slight nuisance though I would not entirely object to changing them. Newly added GoH uniforms to German squads to allow clarity when playing. Brown uniforms do pretty good to simulate what the dry Russian steppe does to German uniforms.

Having some strangeness, been trying to update but Steam will not show me that it went through. I believe the Map should be up to date but if it is not then I will somehow gratify it.

@Death&AllHisFriends , I am confused? There is no way to change the heads while keeping the uniform. The head is apart of the uniform.

Thanks man, honestly the uniforms themselves are fine its not jarring that much at all having the ER2 heads with the COD3 uniforms dont kill yourself over it yknow

@Death&AllHisFriends Fixed Russian spawns and added Tanks to both sides. The COD3 models are slightly taller and larger then the average ER2 models which is why you can see the nose and eyes at times. There is no way to change that other than using a different model, which I may considering this mission is meant to be German focused. It is a pity since the models are gorgeous. Will work on secondary uniform squads to replace the COD3 ones.

Very very neat, though would you please at least add a one man player spawn on the soviet side instead of only being able to take one of the machine gun emplacements? And maybe you could have the COD3 head piece in the inventory but not equipped" I ask only because its a nuisance if you die and take over a bot then you have to take it off each and everytime to have a clear view

@sukiyaki & @Chrom Extreme thanks!!!!! Leningrad was intense, loved the trenches+fortified buildings. Danzig and Smolensk Stalemate were big favorites for me and may be taking more reference images soon.
