Description
You can finally unmute your osu!mania maps!

This is an exact clone of Clearium 1.71 except with the hit-sounds[wiki.quavergame.com] muted. Now you can enjoy a beautiful keysounded map like Camellia - Quaoar[quavergame.com] without triggering the default hit sounds as well.

I hope this inspires more keysound and hitsound mappers to join Quaver.

I'm aware that a lot of players just mute "Effect Volume" in options. (I hear you Storn! lol) But if you do that it also mutes the indexed hit/keysounds in the map file. If your sound is always muted you'll miss out on any keysounded easter eggs. At least with a skin like this you now have the option to selectively mute keysounded maps. Before it was all or nothing.

Another thing mute players can silence! Win-win!

I mean, if feel like the game should already have a built-in compatibility mode for osu!mania maps or imported maps in general. A volume bar for the built-in effects would solve so many problems. There's only four of them. And have a global offset for imported maps. Just assign every imported map with the same starting offset. Until those features are a reality, this skin is your only option.

Any coders out there? You could be the one who adds this quality-of-life feature to the game! Go to Quaver's Github[github.com] page and do the community a solid. Thank you in advance!

If you want me to make a [MUTED] version of another skin let me know. It's super easy. Any of you could do it. This is the skin I use so that's why it was chosen.

By the way, if they ever update the game I'll take this down. leave me a comment if it's still up.

What I think they should do:

A) If a map has keysounds they should disable the default sounds. This would be automatic.

B) It's possible some older maps incorporate both so A might be bad for those maps. Perhaps instead on a per-map basis as a local setting they should allow you to mute the default sounds.

C) Or add a new volume slider in audio settings for mapped keysounds.

I realize this skin is just a band-aid for something niche to the Quaver community. It's probably not high on their to-do list. I just wanted to offer this up for my fellow niche players out there in the meantime.
