URBAN - 2000

As Half-Life 2 has now reached its 20th birthday, the HL2 community and its numerous beta enthusiasts have been graced with the first true look into how the game appeared back in Y2K; the glorious SIGGRAPH tech demo!

Needless to say, everyone knows about the Free TVs demo and all that good stuff, and I found the numerous little micro-differences to be worth creating this map for.

Of course, as this previously lost media is fresh (as of writing this, only released 8 hours ago), this map does not accurately recreate a number of the lost textures that went previously unknown until this demo's surfacing.

That said, I couldn't help giving my own rendition of this beautiful piece of crappy, proto-Source, 480p video file technology.
