Nippon Sharyo Highliner II

Leírás
Speed up your commuters with the Highliner II EMU!

In the early 2000s, Metra, the commuter rail operator for Chicago, was in need of new equipment to replace their quickly aging fleet of Highliner I electric multiple units. The answer was to modify their brand new Nippon Sharyo gallery cars into electric multiple units. These were first delivered in 2005 and, over the following decade, the new units replaced the legacy Highliners, leading to their retirement in 2016. Regional interurban, the South Shore Line, also ordered 14 cars for service beginning in 2008. This rendition of this EMU includes both Metra and South Shore railroads and their respective details and variant-specific configurations.

Variants included are:
Metra (2005)
NICTD/South Shore (2008)
Generic / Recolorable (2005)

Specifications:
Top Speed: 79 MPH
Capacity: 40
Weight: 65t

Thanks again to MrCheesecake for making an excellent sound set, with accurate traction noises and Metra's signature "doors closing" sound!
