Age of Arthur

Beschreibung

Description
The year is 520 AD. Decades before, the Roman empire left Britannia and the islands began to suffer from barbarian invasions from across the sea. This is the age of Arthur, an era of mystery and heroism. In southern Britain resides the last remnants of Roman rule, with the legendary kings of Arthur and Ambrosius Aurelianus struggling to impose their authority as rightful kings of the British isles. To the east looms the new kingdoms of the Anglians and the Saxons, germanic migration societies, bent on conquering and enslaving the entirety of the Britain. To the west resides the Welsh, untamed Romano-Britons that still maintain a connection to their Celtic origins. In the north and in Ireland lives unruly Picts and Gaels, expert raiders and pillagers that once terrorized Romano-British lands.

This mod does not aim to be historical, it's fiction. The entire Arthurian era in Britain is shrowded in mystery and knowledge of this period remains limited. This is my interpretation of what this era could have looked like.

The update

The big update is now complete and this mod is out of BETA stage. Thank you everyone who has helped me along the way, especially to my beloved fiancee and partner who has helped with the art.

As it now is done I will continue to make smaller updates for the mod and correct bugs, but as it stands there will be no further works that will majorly overhaul it.

Special Thanks
I want to aim special thanks to the people who have helped me BETA test this mod.

It looks like the Viking factions have a convert option. Definitely the Sea Kings, but also GVA and maybe Northumbria. I'll watch for it in my next test. One hint: uied_component_texts_localised_string_button_convert_Tooltip_42007b Convert/Dismantle true

Discord still works. Thanks for keeping it up.

yeah that's a scripted event and I think it just gives you a buff, but beyond that there is no religious belonging like in Attila or Rome.

@Voodoo its not? But in base ToB, you can choose whether or not to have the Vikings convert or not through an event right?
Voodoo  [Autor] 24. Okt. um 10:46
sadly not. Religion doesnt really exist in the game since all factions sort of are Christian by default. You'd need to overhaul the game from the ground to implement new religions.

Really great mod. Is it possible, in this mod, to have the pagans convert? Any events or anything for that?

Just a quick heads up, the "swordsmen" in "Combrogi Swordsmen" isn't capitalised. Awesome mod on one of my favourite time periods, great work!

Thank you for making and regularly updating this mod, I am going to try it out now :)

Ah that's fair enough :)

I think I'm close to turn 300 on Legendary as Westseaxan. I completed the Long conquest victory condition and they arrived approximately 10-20 turns later alongside the Denes and Anglo-Saxons, so the end game invasions appear to be working correctly!
