LMS 10000 & 10001

This mod features the LMS Twins 10000 and 10001, including an accurate model, near accurate sounds and every livery they wore during their lifetime from 1947 until 1966.

The twins are, of course, most well known for being the first mainline diesel locomotives to grace the railway network, with LMS 10000 entering testing/service mere months before British Railways would take over. LMS 10001 would join here sister a few months after British Railways came into force, and as such, unlike 10000, doesn't wear the L M S letters on her side.

After both locomotives were in service, they were mostly commonly found coupled together pulling top express services out of London Euston, including services such as The Royal Scot, a service they operated on until the end. They could also be occasionally found on freight services, more so in the winter due to boiler issues which led to them not being able to steam heat coaches during the colder months.

The LMS Twins would continue on in this manner until the end of life, occasionally being brought over to other regions for testing against other locos like D16/2 (The SR Bullied Diesels). LMS 10000 would be withdrawn in 1963, and lingered on until 1968, being used as a parts donor for LMS 10001, which lasted until 1966, and too met the cutters torch in 1968.

Sadly, there were official attempts to preserve either or both locomotives, with LMS 10000 being offered to the Clapham Railway Museum, but they refused, and repeatably LMS 10001 was ''overlooked'' twice for removal. Although there is now an effort by the Ivatt Diesel Re-creation society to make a new-build D16/1 Class in hopes to fill this hefty giant, only time will tell.

v1.1 - Lowered body to a more accurate height, also made a few changes to the normal maps (Made them less severe, and also made it so thing like the numbers 'stick out' properly).
