Surrogate Mechanoid

Description


This mod introduces a new mechanoid that can feed and play with children, and in an emergency it can put out fires.

It is acquired through the Standard Mechtech research and is made out of 75 plasteel, 75 steel, 4 components and one subcore. It is crafted at a Large Gestator.

I wish this functioned better. I catch them playing with the babies, but I've yet to ever see them feed babies.

@TurtleShroom, I think it's intentionally left vague whether or not they are truly "synthetic people," at least in the lore of VFEA. It feels like more of an ideological dispute

Androids are not synthetic people. Androids are tools, nothing more and nothing less. By contrast, Awakened Androids are Clankers and should be put back to sleep as soon as possible. I have Mods that let me turn Awakened Android Clankers back into proper machine servants.

my surrogate tries to feed the baby, but throws a null exception and enters an infinite loop. soft-locking me. Does anyone know where I can go to report bugs? The GitHub link has no issues, so I'm assuming it's not used for bug-reports
