This mod adds 70+ flavorful news messages to your notification feed which report on specific events that happen in the world, including:
  • American Civil War (FSA and CSA versions)
  • Taiping Rebellion & Qingsplosion
  • Dutch East Indies breakup
  • North/South German Federation formation
  • Regime Changes (e.g. Meiji Restoration, Roman Republic, British Republic)
  • Tanzimat Failure & Grand Collapse
  • First country to reach 1 Billion GDP
  • Suez & Panama Canal Construction
  • Wonder construction (Statue of Liberty, Big Ben, etc.)
  • Major Nation formation (Germany, Italy, Yugoslavia etc.)
  • Major or Great Power goes Bankrupt
  • Great Powers at War
  • French content (Algeria, claimant houses, republic/commune)
  • India content: Sepoy Mutiny, British Raj, BIC breakup
  • Austria forming the dual/triple monarchy or the USGA

Compatibility
Does not modify any vanilla files. Instead of editing events to send notifications directly, I use a monthly pulse that checks for various conditions to trigger the feed messages.

@Roaring Knight Makes sense. I don't really use big mods like Tech & Res so I probably won't do that myself. This mod is quite simple so if anyone wanted to make a submod that adds Headlines for other mods they are free to do so.

@CaelReader with it I mean things such as flavor for the new expeditions or journal entries, nations to first research certain techs, so on. I think compatibility is the wrong word here, it'd say a complimentary addon to give it mod-specific flavor (although i said compatibility for the reason that compatch is the more layman term)

Just another comment to give my support for this mod. It's truly one of the best value‐for‐size Victoria 3 mods in terms of flavour and pulling focus out of the buildings screen and back up to the world map.
