The M583A1 Red Star is a 40mm flare shell, made to shoot upwards to signal emergencies or to mark areas.

just a lot of experimenting and using a lot of small tricks really, itd be really hard to explain how it all works because it’s pretty complex and has a lot of components that work together to make it all work
