Trajann's Aurelion

Showing the imperial lads some love today. This mod adds a new legendary lord to the 4 major empire factions, Aurelion!

Now an important note about this guy, he's based off of my Iron Corps mod. Most of his skills provide buffs only to units from that mod, so I'd highly suggest subscribing to that mod to get the full benefit of this character. However, if you don't want to do that, Aurelion can function just fine on his own, as some of his skills benefit friendly units as a whole. You'll be missing out on the full power of this guy, but ultimately it's up to you!

Aurelion is a powerful commander, focusing on strengthening his troops, rather than turning himself into an unbeatable duellist. He provides many buffs to the Iron Corps roster, as well as having abilities that effect any friendly units. He is absolutely meant to lead from the front, supporting his troops, and in turn having them support him. That's not to say he can't hold his own, because he's still a powerful fighter. But his main purpose is that of a commander. He has various unique skills and abilities, and he comes with his own skill dump granting diplomatic relations. He also has access to a griffon mount, named Solaria. You have access to a unique ability depending on if you're mounted or not, so both playstyles are viable!

This mod also includes a Regiment of Renown, Aurelion's Sunborn. They're an elite unit of Knights of the Blazing sun, having a smaller unit size but improved stats. They also come with a unique ability which deals increasing damage around them the longer they stay in melee. At the moment, there is an issue where the unit isn't being properly locked behind a level, so it's available right from turn 1. I have literally no idea why this is happening, as I built this unit the same as all my other RoR's and they all work fine. It's not a game breaking issue, you'll just have to decide if you want to give yourself the unit right away, or wait until the actual level it gets unlocked at, which is 28. I'll work on fixing this when I can.

That's the mod! I have to give a huge shoutout to Jarl44. He come to me with this idea, and provided feedback as I made it. Aurelion's AOE attack was his idea, as well as giving him a griffon mount. So big thank you to him. I had a ton of fun making this guy, and I think he turned out really well. He fits perfectly with the Iron Corps roster, and I do plan to add more to that mod eventually. Though there won't be any new mods until Shadows of Change releases, which when it does I'll of course be working on converting the new units to Khorne (trying to make the vortex beast work is gonna be super fun).
