Building Control 1.1.3

Opis

Building anarchy and other functions

When placing buildings, allows the user to select:
  • Placement mode - such as being able to change restrictions about placing on roads, water, etc.
  • Terrain surface - pavement, gravel, or no surface.
  • Terrain flattening - flatten the whole building block, just the building itself, or leave terrain unaffected.

When a building is selected, a panel containing the above options will appear (by default to the left of the building selection panel). Change options as required.

Unlike the older Building Anarchy mod, settings are saved per-building, so you can assign different settings to different instances of the same building model.

Note that this doesn't change any building service requirements. You still need to make sure that city services can reach that building as required (e.g. garbage collection, emergency services, etc.)

Meta
This mod uses Harmony[github.com] version 2.2 by Andreas Pardeike via the Cities Harmony mod by boformer.

Doesn't alter any savefile structure, and can be safely removed at any time.

@Wymsprocket Not currently, no; this is a tool to support manual placement. Maybe at some point in the future.

Is there a way to apply this on existing buildings or apply settings to all buildings as they spawn? For example, I like the green cities eco low residential buildings but I don't like that they all have a gravel surface. If I use this addon and set surface texture to no texture they look great when I plop them. But I'd like to not have to plop them, just have them spawn in that way.

@DaOPCreeper No; you do that via the use of building themes (and/or Loading Screen Mod Revisited prefab skipping). Possibly in conjunction with Advanced Building Level control if you want to 'skip' levels.

does this mod allow me to allow only a certain building to spawn. Like say i only want specific model of level 3 low density housing will this let me force the game to only that model when a building reaches level 3?

Thank you for response, have a nice day.

@Bendinian This mod has been designed to have zero performance impact, and has been tested to confirm this.

Hi, I really love your Mods and when I installed it, the game started lagging. Is this a usual effect caused by the Mod?
algernon  [autor] 16 czerwca o 5:46
@mrdo2000 Yes In fact, this mod was specifically created to be the 81 Tiles 2-compatible mod for these functions, since the old Building Anarchy mod wasn't compatible (and couldn't be fixed).
mrdo2000 15 czerwca o 23:53
is this compatible with 81 tiles?

@reaamann Use Ploppable RICO Revisited and ensure you've activated the option in the options panel for growable buildings to survive outside of the correct zone (see that mod's wiki for more details).
