VM-3A "Locust" Gunship

The VM-3A “Locust” Gunship is a multirole rotorwing aircraft. It was designed to serve as both an utility and attack tiltrotor in a single package. It is heavily armed and the large cargo door openings allow for additional door mounted machine guns. Its cargo space also allows it to carry additional personnel. (Inspired by the helicopters in James Cameron's Avatar)

Rotors and cockpit glass panels can be individually destroyed. Destroying a rotor will cause the helicopter to enter an uncontrollable fall. The pilot can be shot out when the glass protection is gone.

The "Locust" can fit 11 occupants: 1 pilot, 2 door gunners and 8 passengers.

The 4 passengers in the back can use their weapons to shoot out the cargo door opening from their seat, but due to being exposed, they are vulnerable to small arms fire and HE munitions. The same applies to the door gunners. Either shoot out enemy occupants or watch for incoming fire when you're on the receiving end!

Pilot:

• 2x GAU 26-C Dual Gatling Gun
  
• 2x VF-45 WAFAR Missile Pod
  
• 8x Falcon AGM-217 HELLFIRE Missile

The pilot can activate flares when being locked on.

Door Gunner:

• MKR-23 Light Machine Gun

Besides the standard transport configuration, this mod also includes a variant of the helicopter with it's cargo doors closed for a regular attack heli experience.

I made this model for a school project and wanted to make it into a mod. It is quite a high poly model, so keep in mind that it might not be potato friendly. I'm not going to edit the model as I already put way too much time into it lol.

This is my first mod, so if you have feedback, it'll be much appreciated!
