I wouldn't worry too much about it. Think about ti this way: Did those arms and legs really belong to the medic in the first place? I'm sure the Coalition judge will understand.

Will this work for healing major medical issues?

I accidentally... uhh... 'severed' off the medic's arms and legs. If Robodoc tech support could help me out, I'd be saved a LOT of legal fees.
