Super Gyro

Beskrivning
A denser alternative to Large Gyros Same strength, construction materials, and power needs as large gyros, (namely, the equivalent of 27 normal gyros), but the same size as a normal gyro.

* it's a new block; it doesn't replace the normal gyro.
* it costs 27 times as much to build.


Usage: creative commons - share-alike! Feel free to make derivative works or include parts of this, so long as you don't restrict the usage of the results!.

Just wait til foileon finds the "Advanced Gyro" that is 50x stronger and same size as the gyro... Lmao... Great mod man- Very useful for keeping large things mobile without the use of 2700 Gyros...Now i can use ~270 xD

Just to say, the major cost of using this gyro is the mass addition, as it is bloody heavy. My shp was around 20M KG before and almost 50M afterwards (I needed loads of em to make it turn). If linear speed is the goal, these gyros are not for you.

erm is it just me, or does super-gyro clashes with super-drills? every time i activate both, i have instead of the super-gyro the "old" large but unscaled gyro?

assuming some of that rant was directed at me, yes i DID read the comments. I was just giving examples. you know... constructive criticism.

also, I think Jesus would give you more "strength" if you behaved less like a jerk to others. ;)

Personally my 2cents on the "its not balanced" thing is If you dont like it unsubscribe and make your own. Simple. Its 27x everything except size because he couldnt scale up the size, so instead of harping on about it like complete retards READ THE COMMENTS.

Jesus give me strength. PS. happyjack, Thank you for making a gyro that actually is slightly more useful when turning true capital ships.

(and yea guys my Forward unto Dawn still needed about 100 of these things to actually turn :P)

Just a suggestion:
If you are concerned about balance, it would be more reasonable to make it something like x27 the strength, power req. etc. but make its volume equal to 15 blocks... or something like that... i was just giving an example.

Or perhaps more reasonable:
Basically what I'm suggesting is make the space saving advantage 1:2 or 1:3 (or something reasonable) instead of 1:27 (with obvious adjustments to strength, power reqs, etc. as well).

This is of course assuming you are concerned about balancing the mod with vanilla, if not, go nuts. ;)

He is being a jerk about it but Folien has a valid point. You've made a gyro that is as powerful as 27 gyros for 1/27th the space. The fact that it takes 27x the resources, power, etc. does help make it *less gamebreaking*, but you've ignored the fact that it still allows for an extremely powerful gyro in an extremely small space. With this mod active, if you need 27 or more gyros on your ship, I don't see any reason to use regular gyros over this "super" gyro.

I'm not saying it is a bad mod, but it does break the balance with vanilla.

Thank you happyjack27, I now no longer have to worry about my star trek nova ship being way off scale, since I have massive titan engines on it already (I use one to make the deflector >:D).

This mod is for people who want their hyperships to be able to turn in creative
There is a reason it is called creative.
And for surival, it costs 27 times the components to make!
I, Personally don't see the issue with this mod.
