Combine Interference (Challenge)

描述
Current Version: Beta v4.0
(Local installation's version can be checked via console at mission start by every player)

Combine Interference Challenge
(First Person + Third Person Over-the-Shoulder Variants Included)
We are not the only ones here for the aliens.

Combine Interference is a simple but unique challenge where Combines are one of the enemy types you will be fighting against, with unique balancing features scripted to make fighting against Combine enemies much more enjoyable.
There will be squads of many scattered throughout the map, and there will also be reinforcements deployed nearby the players.

To allow players to get more creative/flexible with their loadouts, flamer requirements have been removed and biomasses can be ignited via explosions and flares.
Combine enemies can drop ammo (since the chance of it happening is completely random, bringing ammo should still be considered when needed).
Healing weapons start with 1.5x amount of meds.

Combine enemies' damage to marines, damage resistance against marines, and accuracy against marines scale with difficulty.
(Yes, I've made sure to do something about their aimbot-level accuracy)
Combine enemies have damage resistance against Grenade Launchers.

Known Issues
- From time to time the spawns can get quite ridiculous. I need to see what I can do to prevent those as much as possible without the risk of harming the intended amount of spawns elsewhere.

okay it's reported but not fixed as i can see, is someone have a way to just do it manualy like add this file to game like a aditional mod?
And yea, great mode 7/10 becouse just this fucking little problems that ruins this like "i cant play withoit hunters" "i have a fucking "x" on my entire screen cuz game missing 1 file of fucking AR2 Traicer and maybe tracer of hunnter (didnt check*)
and smf wrong with a damage like 0.1 dmg per shot of regular soldjer and like 5 per shor of elite.

I reported it already, because there is no other mod like this and its great BUT an edit of this mod with no spawning hunters. it wouldn't break the challenge of the mode. but its hard enough to play with 4 AI agents on the harder difficulties anyway with this challenge enabled. this would get rid of the damn x's and it will allow me to have only infantry to go with mods like HL:ALYX Combine Models. all it is, is removing an enemy type. would fix so much, and be refreshing.

I will say this for the last time and will ignore further comments about the same thing:
Combine Interference is a CHALLENGE, which simply USES what's ALREADY in the game. If you find something is wrong with any of the used assets, report them as bugs to the developers, not me.

why not just make the hunters fx for being hit by an explosion the prototype assault rifle under-barrel grenade launcher explosion effect for the time being? or please make a version without the hunters. it would be nice. for the fix, and just to have only infantry like the half life alyx game

Red X particle bug should be fixed by game's Jan 1st update by now.

The most frequent occurrence of red x particles is when damaging Combine Hunters with explosives, more frequent than any others combined.

Also, I will not "nerf" my challenge and provide less content just because of a bug the game has that I have nothing to do with.

the bug with the red x particles is caused by the combine elites firing thier ar2s. For whatever reason the game can't handle the textures of the ar2 primary fire so logically it creates a massive cloud of red xs. Just make it so the comine elite don't have ar2s or don't spawn, please.

Gunplay with the soldier is tons more fun than I was expecting! Seeing the combine interact with the swarm is also pretty cool! I managed to complete timor station with combine interference with less than zero seconds remaining! A ton spawned directly at the end, which I found a bit odd.
