Because of the issue Xendaka describes, I'm trying to look into how to fix it myself, and so far from what I can understand, a potential reason for why the arc welder does damage instead of fix bent metal - when neurotrauma is installed - might have something to do with how Robotrauma, it's compatibility patch and neurotrauma, modifies afflictions.

The portion of this mod's xml pertaining to the arc welder change shows it reduces the affliction for things like laceration, bite wounds and 'robotinfection', whatever that refers to specifically. I don't know too much about modding stuff myself, so I don't know if lacerations and bite wounds can be considered the same as 'bent metal' or 'damaged electronics'. But if anybody has the smarts for it, I suggest taking a gander at the affliction overrides for all these mods if you wanna make compatibility for neurotrauma.

I noticed that if i try to use this mod and neurotrauma the arc welder will do damage instead of fixing bent metal, which kinda sucks

This mod basically just replaces the tools and parts with my own version that does the exact same thing + heals the robot. If they have added more or taken things away from the battery and welder, they will not be in this mod until I update it (Which I'm not sure when I will)

It should work though!

So does this still work? I really want to use an EK patch with Robotrauma and this looks like the best thing I can get.

It is not actually the saber wetsuit itself, the mod actually adds 2 custom items - Robotrauma Helmet and robotrauma wetsuit.
Can't craft them, dunno where to get them. Probably shop.
