Mix of the best realism mods like "Realistic combat" by Ruler and "Advanced combat rules" by lds_101.

Experienced warriors now feel like such. Battles will tend to be longer and the results more consistent and less RNG based. As very well explained by Ruler:

If the attack lvl is equal to your opponents defense lvl then you will have an 85% block chance (70% was vanilla) , every +10 lvl diff you will get 5% extra block chance (12% vanilla) , every -10 lvl diff will lead to a penalizing -15% block chance."
For this reason, picking fights with enemies that are way beyond your current level will prove to be disastrous and challenging as it should!

Combat Balance Details:
  • Reworked both Attack% and Block%. Experienced and Hardened warriors will be fierce!
  • Experienced warriors attack and block more frequently.
  • Stacking Heavy armor has a big payoff now that stats matter much more.
  • block from behind only unlocked at skill level +55.
  • Stumble damage from 80 to 120.
  • Attack Slots x3.

The vanilla kenshi experience of dropping down an enemy you just cut an arm off and a few minutes later he comes jumping back up and into the fight like nothing happened is frustrating. Bleeding has been reworked to be deadly and dangerous, paying attention to the weapon composition of the enemy you are fighting and having katana squad members late game to inflict bleeds and wear out the enemy are now viable strategies.

Bleed Balance Details:
  • There is an immediate blood loss caused by cut damage.
  • Clot rate is abysmal and you will bleed to death without a bandage making it essential.
  • Extra blood loss on limb loss and body part degeneration, if you have a piece of your body being cut completely off it should be a matter of urgency and it will very quickly be your death without proper care.
  • High bleed multiplier weapons have by association been buffed as bleeding is now a viable mechanic to utilize for an edge during a prolongued fight.
  • Medkits have been adjusted so that someone with little or no medic skill who tries to render aid will waste a large amount of medic supplies.
  • Another important dynamic that by association becomes a mechanic is having a dedicated medic that can mid-fight give urgent care to severe damage.
  • No more stealing weapons from the enemies that are downed so they do not get back up and fight you again, once they are downed and severely damaged, without any care death is certain unless their toughness is very high or the damage has been mostly blunt.

Weight Balance Details:
  • the average weight is 77kg instead of 33kg from vanilla
  • Animals like Beak things, Gorillos, Cage Beasts and the like can no longer be carried for the sake of realism.
  • Rescues, transport missions and carrying prisoners are way harder now. Characters without enough Strenght will not be able to easily carry a complete armored Shek buffed like Arnold Schwarzenegger as easily as before.

patch to allow carrying animal, make sure to load after hardcore combat.

@Doctor_Glass Hi mate! You can download any of the Attack Slots x1 mods, and place it below this one in the loading order - it will overwrite the slots fixing it!

Can we get a version with 1x attack slots? I'd do it myself but I don't want to just re-post this with nothing more than "crEdIt" it's a "I don't wanna just steal this guy's mod" type thing :)

Thank you for the patch for carrying animals, kinda wish this didn't do that in the first place.

@Nemus not really, nothing really affecting that side. You should check if you are using the FocusTheLimb mod, that one goes heavy on limbs

The main way would be fully disabling it I imagine, but in that case no one would ever be able to block straight from the back which with 3-5 slot attack mods might be completely broken both ways. There`s a mod by jaker - ~No Blocking From Behind~ you can try that one.

Loved that change too, will submit a bug report over to check with the Devs why this limitation is completely ignored. :(

Gave it a good look, not so sure what is up. When I did test alone now, vagrants blocked from rear with only this active > same with other combat mods it seems to be Kenshi itself not recognizing the limitation on block rear moveset
