Leírás
Madeline joins Rivals of Aether workshop! This mod represents the agile nature of Madeline's treacherous journey up Celeste, focusing on giving her an 8-way air dash just like the game! Additionally, she's learned some tricks from her trip to Towerfall, gaining access to some clever archery to round her out. We also can't forget about Badeline! Madeline's darker half, foe turned friend, this ally adds some serious power to the table!



Specials

Dash Specials
By default, all of madeline's specials are dashes. Once a dash is performed, she becomes exhausted. During exhaust, she has different specials!

Nspecial
Dash Crystal: This move deploys a crystal in place, this move is great for combo starting and can take stocks at high percent off the top! The real meat of this special is the crystal left after the move is performed. Attack or dash through this to refill your dash!

Fspecial
Double Trouble: This tricky close range command grab can spike opponents as well as initiate some mix ups!

Uspecial
Jellyfish Ride: Gliding from a dream jellyfish, madeline propels upwards, crashing against any enemies in her way.

Dspecial
Archer's Leap: Both a movement tool and a projectile attack, Madeline leaps into the air to fire off a quick arrow from her bow. Use this to keep your opponent guessing!



Unique Attacks

Strongs
Each of Madeline's strongs is an attack that uses Badeline, giving her a large threat range that pack a hefty punch! Use Dstrong for a get off me too, while Fstrong and Ustrong catch wayward foes with a well placed fist!

Jab
The second attack of her jab fires an arrow. This basic projectile can come in handy when you're dealing with pressure from afar.

- Madeline has unique AI coded by Pejota, challenge yourself by fighting a level 9 Madeline!
- This fanmade workshop mod has the blessing of Exok games (developers of Celeste), and can be used in streamed workshop rivals events

Dopest character around with definitely the craziest movement tech in a character. I don't think she's broken, but she does really put you in your place if you're just mashing (I figured that out through the CPU lol). On some custom stages, she does have a chance to just dash off and kill herself when you're offstage because she's too busy movement teching all over you and the stage, but apart from that she's also probably the best programmed cpu in this game. Fantastic mod!

This character is awesome. You could say it's a shame that there isn't more inspiration from Celeste/Towerfall for all of her moves, but I think the choices they made were more to enhance the really important things instead of trying to cram in things that don't really make sense (like say, summoning Mr Oshiro for f smash or dust bunny nair idk). This version of her leans entirely into her movement options, which I would share here but character limit lmao

So in practice, this character is awesome. I also like her in-game sprite; it's different from the regular pixel style, but it's still cute in its own right and gives her movement a little more style. I think my main issue design-wise is that I just don't like the character-select sprite. (Again, details can't be shared because character limit.) The Badeline sprite looks sick as hell though, and I can just use another alt if I don't like the base one (for example, I really like the Crafter and Education alts).

Whoa, okay, I’ve been playing around with this Madeline for a little bit now. Had no idea it was by Amanita’s creator. I sometimes forget to check the authors of these things; and this person actually made a few mods I use. I love these sprites; and her recovery is… a lot. lol.
