Arithmechick's Screams of Pain

Beskrivelse
Description
Causes your character to scream out loud when they're in extreme pain.

The character also has a chance of audibly wincing in pain when an injury occurs. The loudness and sound radius are affected by the severity of the injury (This feature can be adjusted or disabled entirely in the sandbox settings).

On top of adding immersion, this mod is incredibly useful for letting you know when your character gets injured (i.e. scratched by a tree branch). If you're bad at keeping an eye on your moodles like I am, this mod is a must-have.

Sandbox Options
  • Character's pain threshold
  • Noise radius
  • Enable/disable zombie attraction
  • Enable/disable screaming caused by the player being on fire

Compatible with versions of PZ up to 41.77

Hi everyone,

Thank you all so, so much for trying out my mod, and for all the kind comments!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to update ASoP to Build 42. It has been such a joy participating in this vibrant and creative modding community! 137k subs and counting... wow. Seriously, what an honor.

If anyone out there is interested in taking over this mod, I'd be happy to share the source code and answer any questions, so that the screams may echo on.

me with my friends have some issues with this mod. we playing with more traits and i take burn ward. when i spawned i started screaming without stopping and painkillers cant help me. Even after host shutted down this mod im still screaming

Oh also I think it'd be a cool feature if masks muffled screams. Especially if how much it muffled them varied by type of mask, like medical masks muffling them less than gas masks for example. I understand if that would be too hard to add though, just an idea if you have the time

Is there any way we could get a config to stop characters screaming whenever they see they have a bite? It's kind of immersion breaking for my doctor character who's trying to hide his bite to scream every time he dresses his wound lol.

Or is this just a pain threshold thing, and not because of the bite specifically? It doesn't happen with any other wounds so I figured that it was a feature for bites only but correct me if I'm wrong

Hopefully this mod will be updated for Build 42, it is one of my favorite mods. Please, when possible, I would love you to update it :)
