Popis
This mod gives the faction Tepoks spawn, which is next to kugath an unique Lord that focuses on my crystalback units (but more of the new units added with the mod)

You'll need mixus faction unlocker to play the faction (Ty to mixu for his great mod)

This is part 1 of the faction mod, the other will add a different lord to another faction. While this faction focusses on a more raw, savage side of the crystalbacks, that rely on no magic cassting but use it to empower their battle strength, the other side will focus on the blessed side using spells.

This mod also functions as a collection of all my previous crystalback units, so you can save at least some slots for new mods.

Tepok Spawn

A mostly filler faction for wh3 i decided to spice them up. While all the other Lizardmen tribes, except Nakai start in a close proximity to each other, this tribe lives far away from any Lizardmen culture, once inhabiting a temple city in lustria, they've fled the continent due to their questionable actions and now, through a guiding voice, now inhabit a forgotten temple city on the dragon isles. However the abscenece of a Slann doesnt do them too good.


Hiw-Tio

The once proud leader of a mostly saurus populated tribe that worshipped the old one tepok and had the desire to be the first saurus wielding magic. Now driven by barbarism and a constant cycle of sustaining his eternal hunger for magic, the saurus of tepok spawn wish only to get rid of this gift before it gets rid off them.

Hiw-Tio is the LL of the Tepoks Spawn faction, even if you dont play him he will be present as the Leader replacing Malhoraptor.

Strengths
Melee Expert
Anti Mage: Ability that drains Magic and freezes CD + very high Spell resistance that scales with rank
Aggressive Lord: Heavy leaning towards melee units that deal damage due to buffs and most ranged units beeing skinks
Feral beasts: Synergy with feral beasts.

Weakness
Skinks: Not the Lord, but the Faction gives a malus to skinks making them more of a skavenslave unit for them + making his roster very Saurus Heavy at the start, which are lets say more sluggish.
Diplomacy: Everyone seems to hate them, but especially other Lizardmen do. Your closest friedn from my expierence is gonna be Imrik.



Savage Saurus

The backbone of a saurus focused faction are ofc saurus. Similar to savage orcs these saurus tend to be more wild then there normal counterpart. While Rampage is usually a weakness, savage saurus get stronger in offense, but weaker in defense while they are rampaging.

The savage saurus of Tepok Spawn all come with a crystalback, some even with entire body parts replaced by them.



Crystalback

The core concept of these units is, they have all been blessed with some weird magic draining crystals. This causes those crystals to grow from the saurus backs which originaly is rumored to be linked to the tribe coming in contact with a weird crystal they found. New saurus however seam to spawn with them naturally, but no other civilization knows why they do.

Represented as visual crystals growing from their back, this theme also gives each crystalback unit a "Crystalback" ability, which depending on size increases spell resistance, mass and power recharge.


Patch 1 (Dread Saurian Patch)

Crystalback Dread Saurian

While Stegadons evolved to have a larger shield, Dread Saurians with this "gift" evolved to have a lower profile and beeing overall longer in size similar to crocodiles. They have a longer snout, but are less protective about their crystals, hence no evolution towards a shield or similar as it is not needed for such a beast.

They are more or less just a dread saurian reskin, but have -20 armor and + 20 magic resistance, as well as access to the "magic overflow" ability and the active "domination" ability.

Patch 4 (Savage Beast Patch):

Savage Saurus Beast Tamer

Living in the deep jungles of the dragon isles requires someone specialized in dealing with the local beasts. The tribe of Tepok Spawn has specialized saurus tasked with catching, taming and training of even the most ferocious beasts nature has to offer. While Saurus Brutes prefer on-foot combat using their physical prowess, beast tamers focus in mount combat and training of those.

Beast Tamers have skills centered around buffing, and taking down feral beasts.

They have access to 3 mounts (currently 2) and have to choose one, they will then progress that mount by tech tree skills and armour.

Feral Charchanodon

Said to have driven out the Dragons of the dragon isles, these members of the carnosaur family have a rather draconic look to them. Only beeing topped by Dread Saurians, Charchanodons are a close second in the food chain. Charchanodons tend to have a short temper and start having tantrums where their eyes glow red, which latter is due to their blood boiling. Because of that they are also called "Demon Kings".


TLDR Lore

Theres a more refined version ingame, but here the short one.

Hiw-Tio desired to be first saurus to wield magic by receiving tepoks blessing. As more sacrifices for the old one were needed due to their constant sacrifices seamingly not beeing enough, the tribe as radical as they were used a lot of skinks as those were the physical weaker ones. Other tribes called them out and they fled. Guided by a whisper they found a weird crystal that blessed them with the crystalbacks. Now reaching the dragon isles, they inhabit a forgotten temple city, guided by a whisper.

@dnadolny It should work, but i never fixed the original lords spawning after mixu made changes to mixer. If you dont want them just dismiss their armies.

UPDATE: I think I found what MIGHT be causing it...and it's NOT this mod.

The "Lizardmen Sub-Factions" mod by Fizzle_Boom25 causes what their mod labels as 'Feral' Lizardmen Factions (which Tepok's Spawn counts as) move faster in their own territory, but slower outside of it...

My apologies for the misunderstanding; primarily for this mod, Tepok's Spawn is the ONLY Lizardmen Minor Faction I've played as, as of late, so I thought it was exclusive to this mod, only to be wrong.
